Ale said people should look for places to stay around the forum area.

Alejandro said something about "Forum area" on .ca but googlin "forum barcelona" will give you obvious other things..does someone know what the actual Spanish area name is

edit: Sant Marti area should be good..

If you search "centre forum" in google maps you get a hospital which is right in the area (I think).

This morning I've had a chat with Alejandro about what's going on. He said that things there have been moving very slowly, especially when dealing with officials.

The suspected place in Mataró is not going to happen (The Velodrome).

They have use of the basketball complex in Badalona, it has lots of space, and is half indoor and half outdoor. So would have some games in nice cool spaces maybe. This is confirmed, but is currently 2nd choice.

The 1st choice is in Forum (near Badalona), but he's still waiting to hear back on the final proposal (the 1st was approved). So we should get confirmation pretty soon.

It seems we'll be playing in roughly the same area anyway.

I think the most fruitful way to go would be to divide up into groups according to when who gets there & when. So all the people getting there on Weds sort something out together, Thursday together etc.

Also, as there appears to be a lot of availability in all areas for that weekend, I think we would be well-advised to book something when we know where the event is actually going to be.

Finally, there will be an up-front payment of 200 - 300 Euros* to secure the booking.
