  • a polo-bike-library/time share thing would be cool. my teammate for the london open is bringing some friends with him from dresden, that are bikeless, and if a loaner bike was spare, i think they'd really like to be able to lend it for the week.

  • Poloaner

Be great if we could get a few more.

  • ah cheers for the cf. for some reason i thought the loaner bike had been given away, and someone was using it as their permanent bike.

  • This might need rehousing at the end of summer actually, so might need to make provisions for someone else looking after it.

  • My intention is to build up a pololoaner (ambidextrous), but in the mean time I could store a loaner at work, by tower hill, if need be.

  • You just need a front loading ahead stem and flip the handlebars for ambidextrous polo. The trick is getting the right size for everyone.

  • I'm thinking ambidextrous without having to flip anything. One lever on each side each getting at least a rear break.

There is no way to really cover all the sizes with one bike (particularly with a budget of £0), anyway I think you've got shortarses covered so I'm going to go for around 54-56cm for the medium to big loanees :)

  • hey if that bike is still around, i just got to london without my steed and could really use a poloaner....

  • Check the loaner thread and make plans with the guy who's looking after it at the moment.

  • duh, i didn't even think of this.. silly me.

  • http://www.lfgss.com/thread67818.html#post2242540 mtb frame and forks possibly parts

  • anyone wanna lend me a hacksaw? actually i only need to saw through one ski pole so i don't even need to take it away.

can meet you at peckham polo, newington polo, souths or south east beers, or your house

  • Estate agent board and bmx bars. Free

  • I have a beater wheelset to go.
700c, 32 spokes on each wheel.

    Also my charge plug frame.
    53cm.
V brake mounts on the rear.
    Still running strong.

It has a bb stuck in because the splines are fucked, But Ryan said it should be easy enough to remove and will do so for a small fee.
Alternatively you could just put on my crankset (with 32t chainring) as the BB still runs smoothe.

I also have a bottle of nitromors you can have if you want to remove the stickers etc...

Free to polo players. A donation to LHBPA would be nice.

  • Can anyone free cycle me a bike for souths tonight?! :)

  • Could have had the poloaner with a bit more notice!

Actually the 24t on the loaner exploded last night so the gearing is well off with a 17t on the back.

Does anyone have a micro gear crankset or a 22t + freewheel?

I have some sinz cranks I could swap. 155mm, has 5 arm bash guard on it and about 36t or 35t chain ring.

  • Only happened this morning, was so looking forward to souths

    I've got a 24t 58bcd 5 arm chain ring if you need?

  • Bugger, bad times L. Welcome to trek to mine to get the loaner.

Might like the chain ring if I can get some cranks. Thanks mate.

  • Not a bike and not sure if its the right thread but feel free to move to the correct area/thread

100 odd styrofoam plates and 40 odd cups preference going to those who will use it for feeding tournament people. Colect from N1.

  • interested in your old frame emmet, speak to you about it tonight.

  • Ali, you could use your old red/white/blue/yellow frame potentially too?

  • I know this isn't really polo related, but I'm sure as Brooks is so involved these days, this may be doable...

I'm looking for a honey or brown leather Brooks saddle for my 'other' bike. If anyone has one or has won one and wants to shift it let me know. Would need to post to Aus too. Can has paypal.

    Thanks polo people.
