  • What frame is it? I have a potential poloista who has just arrived here, doesnt know anyone, has no job or bike, could do with a digout.

  • I've just found a silver 32 hole deep V front wheel on an On One hub for anyone that wishes to collect from Stoke Newington.

Needs some new spokes and has a few dents but would probably true up again.

  • Hey folks, i realise what i am about to do isn't really the done thing, but my desperation has overcome my sense of propriety. Im trying to put together a polo bike for myself, this will be the first bike of my own, i have borrowed bikes a couple of times from my team mates, but now that i have found my place i want to stamp my mark on the team, but I'm struggling to find good parts in my local area (i live in the wilds of North Kent) so if anyone can help me out it would be greatly appreciated.

  • What do you actually need?

  • Well i am grateful of anything ofcourse, but a decent beginnners frame is what i am really struggling to get hold of as i am looking to get one with straight drop outs and they seem to be fairly tough to track down.

  • Some t-shirts to give away:

    Berlin worlds, grey, small
    the rest are brand new:
Crumpler jersey , the red and white one, medium
Chunk 'countries rugby gb' navy, small
Knog 'stay in school' grey, xxl
Cantgoslo, white, sweet picture of grim reaper riding a brakless fixeh, medium

    and a rear wheel
36h rigida sputnik on ns coaster pro mkII
    Rim is pretty totalled
Hub is, literally, pulling itself apart
    missing a few spokes
I'm just going to chuck this out if nobody wants it, it's fucked.

  • can i get the worlds t-shirt if you could possibly hold on to it until cambs? don't worry if that sounds like to much effort

  • sure, no problem

  • Got a mallet to give away. It's a 3pmh, half-cheater, somewhat used, but still a fair bit of life in it, on a rik pole. 92cm-ish.

    Ideal for a beginner.

    Collection from polo/home/work.

  • Can I grab that for NE beginners?

  • I have an avid Single digit 7 front brake with a missing spring. These cost £15 to replace, the brake costs £22. It's BNIB. Does anyone want it?

  • Picture of the brake. It'll go in the bin next week.

  • Its also missing the tension setting pin but maybe that comes with the spring?

    Oh it is also free!!!

  • does anyone want this monster stem, 25.4 clamp, i think its 110mm, can bring to brighton this weekend if needed. For a couple of cans of heineken it can be yours

  • I have an almost identical one in black, I will except better beer than heineken if possible.

(There's also a decent mallet up for grabs there. Unused and less than cost price)

  • have you really binned all that stuff? theirs definitely a very decent polo bike to be made out of that stuff

  • Yeah, I'm afraid so. I was moving house and literally couldn't take it with me :(

  • You could have donated that to a bike project, you live pretty close to several! Most workshops recycle too...

  • In a similar vein, I've got stuff to freecycle ahead of moving. All free, to be collected from Herne Hill (SE24) otherwise they get binned on Saturday morning :(

    Mallets:
    1) Perro pole, HB purple head (almost new), champ grip MG
    2) Perro pole, black pipe head (some life), black bar tape grip kev
    3) Perro pole, yellow cheater head (on its last legs), champ grip kev

    Gloves:
Pair of small street hockey gloves, palms hockey taped so barely worn. MG

    Wheel:
700c front wheel, straight and true, 24 spoke, but would be fine with a wheel cover. kev

    Fork:
1" steel fork with v brake/canti mounts. Threaded but also has a star nut fitted. No ruler to measure steerer, but it fitted a 53cm bike with an ahead stem. kev

  • Dibs perro pole, HB head please!!! Can collect tonight as I'm south anyway or anytime tomorrow...

Can you send me more info on these bike projects? I may have a few little bits to dump in a couple of weeks.

  • MG would it be super cheeky and inconvenient to ask you to pick me those gloves and bring em to brighton? will repay in beer

  • ^^ Le google?

I'll pick up tonight and give them to Brendan for you, I'm not going :'(
