  • I've got some free straight 26" forks which might be suitable for someone for polo - cro-mo, canti mounts, about 170mm steerer with a bit of threaded. Crown race is still on too I think

pick up sw6 only, as they are very heavy and my back isn't great atm

  • nik might be interested in these.

  • Are they my old ones?! if so they weigh 2.2kg #justsayin

  • i thought mine were heavy

  • Ok, some polo freebies, it would be awesome if these went to new players for polo use, but whatever. I'm based in Bethnal Green.

Up first is Dale's old BLB track polo frame (that he hit with a hammer) and a purple fork from Vidal... they should work together, who knows. I imagine the frame will last over the summer (it's straight), but will eventually crack on the chain stay, ride it till it dies kind of deal. Very suitable for a motor head, or anyone that can do sweet fixie tricks to keep the polo contingent amused between games. 56cm top tube, 55cm seat tube (c-c).

Next we have Ali's old polo frame, lots of good memories here, it's colourful and dent-free and comes with free Fakenger stickers and a BB... become the next "super sub" and make sure you nail all your backhanded shots. 56cm top tube, 52cm seat tube (c-c). - Gone

Finally, some forks, the red track ones I used on my old Archie and they were "teh awesome", guaranteed speed boost unless you repaint them. The other ones I just had lying around, I don't think they've seen a polo court before, but they might be just what you need, although I doubt it.
Shorter 1" track fork: 14.5cm total steerer length (with the top 5cm threaded). - Gone
Longer 1" road fork: 20.5cm total steerer length (with the top 4.5cm threaded). - Gone

All free, just remember to give back to your fellow players at some point in the future.

  • these could be good for a cambridge poloaner bike that we leave at the court, all priority to new players/londoners though

  • I've no qualms with stuff going to Cambridge, I have a front wheel that could be good for a polo loaner too?

  • jono, do you know what the rake is on those forks?
