James, although you probably lose more running for the bus, £900 is still a lot of money for some people. I would love to buy this bike, and I agree it is a fantastic price. But alas, I do not have that kind of money to buy a bike.

Id be amazed if this bike fit anyone who was 5'10".
I'm 6ft and my 57cm is too big for me. -

I'm 6ft and my 57cm is too big for me.Funny, I'm 6ft and my 58cm is too small. It's a steel road frame from ca. 1990. So, how does it work? (magnets?)

I'm 6ft and my 57cm is too big for me.thanks for your opinion, probably 5'10 is the lower limit. a 57cm that is too big for you wtf? to be honest, i put the exact dimensions of the bike up, i gave hieghts as a guide, you can change stem,bars..etc to make it fit. if i wanted random opinions based on your ill-fitted bike i would have asked for it. just to make it clear i didn't.
-
• #20
oh yes, based on your bike sizing expertise i've changed the recommend size to 5'11'. though I'd ask everyone that isn't an expert in bike sizing to please look at the dimensions of the bike and make your mind up. i'll also be happy to let real buyers test ride.

height for sizing is just a guideline, limb length and back flexibility is more important,. For example, I'm 6'1'', and use a 58cm seat tube with just under 20cm seat post showing, but need a 90mm stem to ride on the hoods with a 58cm top tube.
I would be very tempted to buy this if I hadn't just spent a grand on a bike.

I'm 5'11" and 59cm would be to steep for me.
(Saying that I own two 58cm frames - they're OK as racing bikes, but perhaps too tall for city riding when you need to stop often at lights etc.)

Maybe we should stop derailing this FOR SALE thread. We could even discuss peoples differing bike sizing opinions in a 'relevant' thread. Imagine that

Scrap that then. I want my bump back.
Titanium road bike
will suit rider 5’11 – 6’2
57.5 effective top tube centre to centre
59 seat tube centre to top, and 16cm headtube
fitted with high specifications, including:
King Headset - red
Easton EC 90 full carbon steering forks
Full Shimano 105 groupset (1/2 a seasons use)
Deda newton polished alloy bars (44cm)
Deda Newton polished allot stem (130mm)
Michelin Pro3 tyres (v. limited wear and tear) (23)
Scandium seat post
Fizik (planet-x rip off version) saddle
Wheels – 105 hubs and Mavic cxp33 rim on front and grey mavic cxp22 on rear
I don’t think I have to say much after listing off those parts. The titanium gives a great comfortable, light responsive ride, combined with the high end bits and pieces this translates to a great bike. Looks awesome as well.
The only, thing that is not 100% is the wheels, which are ok but the rear hub is probably best changed.
Retail for a similar bike, with lower spec, would be in the order of 2.5k.
Selling as I’m moving and downsizing so need to reduce the amount of bikes.
SOLD
