But spoiling anyone's fun = shame on you. More smiles is what's needed on the roads.

You're being a dick and judgemental based on his bike.
-
• #8629
Yeah. If he knows enough to draft he probably knows how to ride a bike. I am all for commute drafting.

Wether drafting is acceptable is this threads helmet debate.

This morning's commute - no bizarre happening to share or spleen to vent, just very very nice light......

• #8632
Wow ! Nice, I'd be expecting to hear Gods voice or something with light like that.
-
• #8633
You pratt, there isn't a god. Duh.
-
• #8634
I'd say you're at liberty to not accept, or accept, a drafter. Your call. I hate it unless riding with people I trust.
-
• #8635
Funny you should say that, but yes indeed, I did sense God's presence on that road, like he was saying "this is just a tiny bit of my glory and my joy - it's all your's my son, fill your boots".
A great way to start a very busy day in the office! -

You pratt, there isn't a god. Duh.
Er, there is, cos I heard him this morning and saw some of his radiance through the tree's just near blacknest gate in the Windsor great park.
You can't argue with an eyewitness account! There's other websites for godbothering you know
.
Oh is there?, can you recommend any good ones?? -

You don't like drafters? Stamp those pedals harder and drop the fucker!
Or politely slow a little and swing off.
Or fart loudly.
Or scratch your bum.
Or sing really uproariously.
Or make random hand signals.

Could try something like this
No idea about the bit up to Parliament Hill but the rest (apart from crossing the A1) is probably OK. Well, other than Clapton.

Yeah, drafting a stranger (particularly someone riding fixed) through London traffic is extremely foolish. I'll sometimes give a little acknowledgment that I'm ok with someone being on my wheel and even wave them forward to do a turn if it seems like we're well matched for pace and ability, but I'd just as happily tell someone to GTFO if I think they're putting us both in danger by getting too close.
Having said that, if I catch someone who is going around the same pace as me, I'll often sit on their wheel for a while (if it's safe to do so) before overtaking or backing off. If I get even a hint that they're not 100% happy for me to be there, I'll drop off or move past. I certainly wouldn't argue that they were being weird if they told me to back off.

Saw an ex-girlfriend on the way in. Thank god for caps, helmets and hipster giant beard trends - I don't think she recognised me even tho she looked me right in the eye (after which my heart turned to ice)

Riding in this morning the road was wet, back in the days I wouldn't have taken notice and rode how I usually rode in the dry, but I'm not too sure whether I have skinny rims or knobbly tyres the grip and handling wasn't there and it made me very nervous now riding in the wet.
Although the mudguard set up ensured I was dry, it was still an unpleasant ride in, and I'm definitely not looking forward to riding home later =/

Yeah it wasn't death staring me in the face, just a bunch of unspent emotional currency I'll be forever afraid she'll cash in (I was young and selfish back then.
What tyres are you on? Is this the Canyon or the NB?

And by the way I'm out for the Dragon Ride, no cash this month for bike lols :(

I really enjoyed my commute in this morning, in the early sunshine.
Now I'm really wishing I'd packed a jacket for the soggy ride home..........

I would feel the same if I saw my ex dude, but don't worry that chapter of your life is over, you got a great new chapter with mini YAL jr! ;)
On the 'beater' with clement MXP 33c tyres.
Always wanted your excellent climbing skills to paces us fat sods up the hills! Well if you do change your mind, I was thinking using my old man 7 seater to carry us lot to venue (cheaper than all of us getting the damn train!)
Message me if you change your mind dude! The more the merrier!

Ha! I know what you mean, I made the mistake thinking it was going to rain commuting in the morning, and instead was overcooked (again) but at least I will be prepared for tonight's/this week's storm
