Other than dodging a few patches of ice, it was a nice cruise in and I'm sure the commute will help recovery from the weekend's riding. Plus, no diseases from the humanscum on the Tube.

Couldn't get on the first two trains, another two were cancelled... Was about to head home and work there when an almost empty train came out of nowhere... I'd been standing on a freezing platform for over 30mins by this point... Shoulda ridden in... 3/10

Today should be interesting. Is it time for cable ties?

Time to swap the wheels over for the ones with Schwalbe Marathon Winters on.
Mmmm. Studded tyres.

Much snow, many skids, so traffic chaos.

2 mile ride to Surbiton Station was bad enough. Didn't feel like attempting the full ride in. Wish I'd brought ski goggles.....

Towpath was ace with lots of fresh snow to plough through. Roads were just wet meh. 28c slicks were fine, no need to piss about with shit your kecks tyre changes, just HTFU.
8/10 could do with being deeper.

Didn't get to ride through any snow. Did see @tricitybendix at Surrey Quays, sorry I didn't chat, didn't want to be later than the new person I'm training...

Was fine with the very light snow.
Was not fine with the shard of glass that made a nice clean gash in my front tyre :(

Snow in the eyes. Had forgotten what a pain that is.

Forgot lights (AGAIN!) yesterday so busmengered it home and then in this morning.
The ride home will be sloppy seconds. Where's my Christmas wish?
-

Ride in was pretty sloppy, don't think there will be any snow left for you by home-time.

Just got an email from TFL announcing more potential bus strikes. 5th, 13th, 16th Feb. Debating with self if I want to break my train habit and ride in to work on those days just so I can see what Wood Green is like without a gazillion foul-smelling buses packed into it like greengrocers oranges. Tempting.

To be fair on the last bus strike, I would have preferred the buses rather than the amount of extra drivers and cyclist out and about. Took me a full 10 minutes longer having to second guess drivers who probably don't drive Monday - Friday. The only bit I like was getting to London Bridge and being able to get across without the queue of waiting busses.

Christ! No longer tempted.

Was slipping around on my road as I set off this morn. Let a bit of air out of the tyres to help. Turns out, too much out of the rear. By the time I got to the clear bit of Battersea Park it was like an extra intensive resistance workout. Need to "borrow" someone's pump from the bike racks. before the return trip.
Novelty value+ 7/10

Got to a different workshop today, with phone GPS guidance. Non lighted frozen towpaths, me with tarck biek with 23mm slicks. After the first icy patch with water rim got frozen, front brake useless.
Arrived late with my boots covered in ice and amazed that I didn't got a flat, 5/10 would gladly do it again in a CX bike.
HA! In your face!
