Saw a guy this morning who had put hoods on the centre of his bars, I had to look twice, genuinely disorientating. It was worse than the guys who put their hoods in the 'handgun' position.

Bank holiday Friday before a half term. Plenty of schools having INSET days I think too.

Like hoods in the centre as well as the edge? I think I need a diagram, sounds weird.

just in the centre, I--r--0--r--I , like that, it made me re-evaluate everything I know. Maybe he was an idiot or maybe the next Graeme Obree, I don't know.

How is that even possible? Were they sideways? Was he a Salvador Dali painting?
-

I presume he had just put the brackets vertically instead of horizontal, pretty easy to do if you were that way inclined.

Riding across a junction at which I had green and a cyclist decides to cross my path riding across the pedestrian crossing - he was still quite far ahead so not bothered. But then a sheep like pedestrian also wonders out into the middle of the road looking nowhere in particular and I shout 'look out'. Cyclist shouts 'you jumped the lights mate'. Er, no I didn't - it was green for me and you just rode across a pedestrian crossing.

That makes me feel a little bit sick. I even find my neighbours drop levers on moustache bars a bit creepy.

This was the wettest ride home since forever. Jeans had to be squeezed out, now drying in front of the fireplace. I know, i know, aussie weather, but we had like 20mm in 5 mins and i am really not used to it anymore.

I've seen upside-down levers on inverted drop bars before. Made a vein burst on my forehead.

Massive apologies to the guy who let out an expletive because I popped out in front while you were filtering in the middle. I had been there too and nipped in left to make some extra ground. I did check no one was coming when moving back into the middle but you were going fast. Nevertheless, sorry for startling you!

I cycle through Birmingham University campus most days on my way to/from work, and I thought I was alone in having suicidal students step out infront of me. It appears not though, as this sign has gone up

I think they need these on every road in London...I never really had this problem when I was in Brum.

Found myself shouting "cunt" very loudly in Bloomsbury at some cunt taxi driver who decided to overtake me incredibly closely on approach to a roundabout like a cunt. No regrets.

Naive question: do they still have the Green Cross Code in school? Seems a bit sad that they need to be teaching this sort of stuff at uni level now.
Also, anyone going fast while filtering is as much to blame for any mishaps as someone coming into their path.

I don't think they do, maybe they teach them how to cross without looking away from their phones as that seems to be the way I see people crossing these days.
Smacked a phone out of someones hand the other week as they walked right into me and I was going a fair bit. -

That sign needs to be tattooed on peoples wrist so when they are looking at their phone its right in front of them.
-

Why no people out today?
Its well spain. -

Naive question: do they still have the Green Cross Code in school?
I ask myself that almost every day.

I'm currently stuck inside my office waiting untill 6pm to get out into it!

German city puts traffic lights on pavements for smartphone users
Bit of a sad state of affairs that people can't tear themselves away from their phones for spare a few seconds to preserve their lives.
I wonder what the stats say about accidents since smartphones came out.
I should invent an app that's lined to gps and wifi enabled traffic signals to tell people in screen whether there's traffic coming or not or something

Reminds me of the floating chair traffic intersections in Wall-e.

Or design and app that punches them in the face when they step onto the road
