Enter your text here...I am very fortunate as I have got several bikes in my stable and an 1980's Mercian frame I can build the bits onto. Thankfully it wasn't my Mercian Super Vigorelli. This is what she looked like on Sunday

That's so sad, but good that you have a replacement frame lined up. Best of luck with the Mercian!

Absolute clusterfuck traffic-wise on creek road and old Kent road on the ride back. Lucky I didn't have to stay on them too long. Anyone know what's going on?

Blackwall tunnel's been fucked all day

Most of Bermondsey, OKR and Lewisham tonight = free parking. I'm told the Blackwall's closed ...

Yeah resurfacing after a fuel spill.

Bit of a headwind home, managed to grab me a windbreak until the inconsiderate bugger went the wrong way and I had to face the wind alone.

Just got in.
Lower Road / Surrey Docks / Deptford / Greenwich still carnage.
It's 11.00pm for fucks sake!
Did see a cyclist, about an hour ago having a right go at a middle aged lady in an Audi for being in the ASL. Not sure you'd have been so shouty if it had been a car full of blokes mate.

Yeah SE London one big car park all day, really nuts. Must've filtered past 5 miles of stationary traffic this evening. Couple of complete arsehole motorcyclists revving and beeing and swearing at anyone 'in their way' so, basically, everyone.

That reminds me - I followed a guy on a scooter through the off-road E&C bypass the other day, the one that's currently diverted onto a footpath through a park. Is there a moto version of the fairweather cyclist?

Someone at work said Blackwall Tunnel closed Northbound... but it was going all the way back down OKR and Bermondsey too>?

Yeah just read that .. I was zen-like in the gridlock .. kinda enjoyed it. Must be awful to drive in that.

Was glorious this morning, albeit a tad cold for the first 10 mins or so. Was chatting to a couple mopeds at the lights, who though I was mad with just my shorts and tshirt on ha.

I know somebody who tried to drive from Sutton to Greenwich last night. He ended up abandoning his car and walking after 4 hours stuck in traffic.
My evening commute ends in Blackheath and I could see that traffic was solid right up past the Sun in Sands. Maybe even all the way up Shooters Hill.

wow
traffic calmed after south circular for me .. the last mile or so of my commute.

I walked from Elephant to Peckham last night. There was an ambulance with lights on trying to get through the gridlock, I was walking faster than it was moving.

todays commute was bliss, morning sun salutations for the leg stretching win.
yesterday rolling over waterloo bridge, male cyclist with pink helmet riding an mtb, flouro courier bag, is stopped on the bridge by 3 bicycle police people. Laugh at why they needed 3 officers to pull over one cyclist.
Couple of mins later, pink helmet cyclist comes past me as I wait at the lights, letting pedestrians cross, he jumps off his bike and run/walks it over the crossing before leaping back on and spinning madly away. I laugh again and think if you're going to jump a redlight, grow a pair, jump it properly and stay on the bike.
Set off again and he does it again at the next set of lights, either he had somewhere he had to be, or its a habit... -

Parallel universe last night where black cab driver asked if I wanted to go in front. I smelled a trap so confirmed he was turning left and not going straight on so accepted offer and moved ahead of him.
Then sat on some bloke's wheel much of the way home (broken from gym again). He was very nice pointing out everything and I thanked him for the tow... before turning off and then getting beeped by some dude in a Merc or similar. I turned around and yelled "I'm turning right" (hence why I was on the RHS of the road) and he said "what?". "I'm TURNING RIGHT". He then proceeded to offer about 20 apologies. I mean, obviously a douchebag move in the first place but these guys will typically never acknowledge they're fucking wrong plain and simple so it was a pleasantly weird commute. #csb

So aussie winter is upon me, and i am glad i bought a warmer rain jacket. Doesn't matter that i only ride short commutes these days, and not very fast, but in the eyes of the people i am now hardcore because i decided to still cycle.

Bizarrely, OKR was mostly spookily quiet this morning. Maybe sitting choking for four hours has put off people who drive but could actually do it some other way? Here's hoping.
Cold today! Weird. Wore a scarf! Lovely ride in though.
That's heartbreaking, I'd be so gutted if mine was destroyed like that.
Hope you manage to find a replacement.
Same thing happened to my mate's carbon frame: lock didn't break so they just kicked the fuck into the frame and broke it all up. Brake cables were the only think that stopped them in the end.
