But they are Armoured Dildos! I have it on good authority the adamantium infused carcass is impregnable.

Near miss with a cat, lovely weather, would ride again.

Hopefully this isn't opening a can of worms...but how customary is it for black cabs to never indicate ever? This morning I counted at least 6 cabs that I was following swerve off last minute causing me to have to slam on the brakes...Also emergency stops for customer pick ups was a favorite this morning.

It seems to get a little worse every year. My pet theory is that as more and more junctions have segregated left / right turn lanes, where you sometimes don't need to signal, it means that people forget to even when it is quite dangerous.

In my limited experience, it's best to just assume that they don't indicate ever, and cater for every possible scenario.

Viz Top Tip
Cabbies: When next getting your taxi a service, ask the mechanic to check if your indicator lights are functioning correctly.
I last posted this about 2009 I guess. Ahhh. AQA Thread >>>>

You should drive in primary position.

Exactly that road, one vans overtook me by the speed sensor thing, it said 29mph.

That's basically what I'm doing now; as well as generally staying as far away as possible from them.

The entire residential area around where I live is 20mph, lots of parked cars, schools, kids etc. Yet most drivers beep and try to overtake me even when I am cycling at 20mph.
The funniest moments are when they are driving like cunts to only park on the same street as me.

I do Croxted from Brockwell Park to Gipsy Hill every day. You need to be in primary the whole way. 99.9% of drivers are usually quite patient but there will be one or too knobheads. It seems to be quite a busy commuter route with cars parked both sides.
Years ago when I worked as a labourer on one of Fiddy's jobs renovating a house on Gipsy Hill, I used to get the number 3 bus back towards Brixton. Every day without fail the bus would take a wing mirror or two off. The driver just made a note at their next stop.

When you get to the west Dulwich crossroads, by Cook and Cafe Rouge, turn left then first right, takes you to Gipsy Hill on a wide, smooth, admittedly speed bumped road with expensive house porn.
Much preferable to the bus jammed section of Croxted.

seemed pretty straightforward to me, though the dog leg through the lights just south of the bridge is a bodge.

I can't believe that. Are you sure you're not exaggerating?
I've only really ridden Croxted Road when going up to Gipsy Hill for the London Classic (that is, on Sundays), and on a couple of other occasions over the years, and I've never had even minor problems. I'm sure it's very different in the weekday peak hour, but if mirrors were lost every day, something would have been done about that by now.

It's a bit of a forum rat-run, that Clive Road.

If the bus drivers are taking mirrors off that often they need to take a good long look at themselves.

Nope, I finished around the time of the school run which is worse than the after work rush hour.

Parents make the worse drivers ever.

Statiscally, I think you'll find it's young men under 25.
