lock ring pinged off behind a #3 bus on norwood road and looks like it stripped the threads good and proper on my DA 7600.
frame locked up outside HH station, now taking bets on the likelihood of it still being there at 6pm tonight.
arses.

They have a few sets of lights in there though, people choose to ignore them when crossing aswell.

Called out a lady riding on the pavement by Regents Park. She told me I was obviously one of those lycra cyclists who breaks all the laws. I was not wearing lycra or breaking laws. Insulted and amused in equal measure.

The irony of calling someone a rule breaker whilst breaking the rules....I think it may be lost on her.

Nice ride in, lovely with the early morning light. Not sure if they have changed the light sequence at E&C but managed to get all the way from one side to the other without stopping very little traffic may of helped.

Before I'd even started my commute this morning I had a dog run at me barking, getting all aggressive, owner completely useless. Then I got chased by the same dog when I set off so lost patience and shouted "GET IT ON A FUCKING LEAD!" at the useless owner.
Started my ride thinking how useless all dog owners are, then there were loads more people out walking their dogs this morning and they all had the cheek to have well behaved dogs and prove me wrong! Which is nice.

After loads of work trips (and Christmas drinking) first ride in for about 4 months. I'm terribly unfit but managed to survive. Was quite happy I could still work clipless pedals. Even had a HGV slow down to let me out when the bus up ahead of pulled into a stop, which was nice.

Have to go down a steep road lateron where I nearly got wiped out by a car a few months ago.
Parked cars hiding sidestreets, a zebra crossing, undertaking cars, parked cars just around the corner and other fun times await.
Bah, bring on proper cycle lanes.

Steep road? In Belfast?

Cavehill, Antrim Road, Falls Road...
Perhaps not 10% but enough to pick up a nice speed or work up a good sweat depending on what way you're going.
Of course the near miss was on the way down for that little extra fun :)

Ah right, the suburbs. My friend took my down Rocky Road (near Forestside) once without forewarning me. The 90 degree bends are fun at that kind of angle.

Anyone know what was going on at the top of Brixton Rd? Looked bad whatever it was

Twitter tells me it was a stabbing. Jesus. Thought it was some sort of collision. Road closed and loads of ambulances and police cars. Bad craic.

There's MTB trails on cavehill and belvoir ("beaver") park too if you're into scary bends :)

Lovely ride into town today from south, even Hammersmith A219 junction navigated with panache & speed, like a leaf on the wind.
But on way back some skip toting tipper truck (white model LF) tried to crush me up! Fucker came from behind and right and indicated left to move into my lane while overtaking on approach to Morden roundabout. Lucky I baled onto cycle path by Morden Hall Park but the cheeky cunt waved and grinned as he completed overtaking like it was a fucking joke.

Rain + headwind on way home (late). Heavily caffeinated = didn't care.
8/10 would pasta + coffee again.

Oh that was what was happening cycled passed just as the police turned up, huge crowd watching from the sides, thought it might have been a cyclist.
Couldn't sleep last night so just got up early and rode in to work at dawn. Makes for such a nice commute when no one's up yet and caught an amazing sunrise over Bristol harbourside. No camera phone so you'll have to use your imagination. Man do I feel spaced out though.
