  • I don't even know which tweaks on which version you're talking about Ed seeing as you haven't seen the latest version...and neither have I cos I haven't made one yet.
If by straps on the underside you mean bungee lashing? I had that on my first saddlebag and found it quite a pain in the arse personally.

I saw it on Rosie's, which appear to be an improvement from the original one I got off Skully's.

I'm assuming you mean the same kind of thing on top? If so...it would only be of use if the bag was stuffed to capacity as otherwise there wouldn't be enough space on top to attach anything to...and as they already have a strap going from the top behind the saddle, right over the end to the underneath I just use that to hold things down on top if needed.

That what I meant, when I look at my bag, the top seemed a bit wasted as I can easily strap my windbreaker on top, currently I strap it on the front rack when I don't need it.

if you think it's not a useful feature, then it's not a useful feature.

It's a shame you don't make them anymore, your set-up from the Dunwich Dynamo back in 2011 look fantastically well made and thought out.

  • Rosie's was from the same time as my original brown one and as far as i know it was a pretty redundant feature on hers too as the bag was already so close to the wheel that it couldn't fit anything under it anyway.
On my own I got sick of trying to tuck things back in which were poking out through the gaps in the bungee.
I much preferred the version you bought off Skully, which is the same one most people have and is also the same as the version I used on the DD in 2O11.

There are all kinds of things that i CAN make....but the bigger the range when you're the only person making everything...the harder it is to keep on top of things.

I want to concentrate all my efforts on the bigger bags....especially the backpack prototype once the backlog is cleared.

  • I have that Brown Saddlebag and I have/do use the under webbing for flipflops/lightweight trainers, and can put a waterbottle in there (although not access it when cycling) as i ride a big enough frame. It is ok for a wet jacket, but as mentioned you can spend time poking bits back in.
The bit I get most use out of on that one (than the newer 2011 one) is the external zipped pocket which gives quick and easy access to some essentials on a (saddlebag only) light tour/day+ ride, without having to open up the main bag and/or carry stuff in my pockets....Though I guess, the Hip Pouches cover that problem, as you can't really tell they're there, as oppose to swinging short/jersey pockets and you can access stuff on the go.

The way I see it, as time goes on, the better these designs are getting, which is exciting as a customer (although makes you want the first and last of everything) and sign of a genuinely creative mind. Which I don't doubt is as much a burden, as it is a gift.

As always, looking forward to hearing/seeing the progress...

  • There are...but I'm changing them a bit which will put the price up. They will incorporate a D ring for starters to work with the key clips which will also be available soon.
I'll give more info on them and give a price once I have a chance to make myself one.
The good thing for you poots is that it will undoubtedly feature more superpowers than Lola's belt. ;]

    YES! Awesome news!

Shit. You know too much woman!

    Bwahahahahahahahaha!

  • Just out of curiosity...who would be interested in a subtle, stealthy, Black Rainbow Project 'team' jersey?

  • Meeeeeeee!

  • Yes!

  • Just out of curiosity...who would be interested in a subtle, stealthy, Black Rainbow Project 'team' jersey?

Really? Are we having team bikes next??

  • Just out of curiosity...who would be interested in a subtle, stealthy, Black Rainbow Project 'team' jersey?

    yes how much dorra?

  • I haven't looked into it yet for pricing, It was more to gauge interest to see if it's worth it.
I have a rough idea for the design of them...Obviously they'll be predominantly dark though. :]
I'm not really interested in having fancy zips or special features that push the price to what I consider too high for a cycling jersey...I honestly don't think the benefits they offer are worth the extra cost over a standard jersey.

Perhaps somebody who knows more about it than me can recommend a suitable supplier?
I seem to remember Big daddy saying Champs sys were good for small runs of jerseys?

  • i'll have seven - one for each day of the week....

  • Yes

  • I believe that too Andy! ;]

  • thought about having a word with torm?

funky sportwool would be fitting the BRp ethos.

  • Do they even exist anymore? :]

  • I could be interested if you do some man* sized ones.

    *chubby man

  • +1 for Champ Sys.
    I'd be interested, price dependent.

  • Well I'm not looking to make money from this...It's more just because I thought it would be a nice thing to have, so It would be pretty much whatever they charge to make them I guess?

  • They seem to be about £40 each.
I think you should make a profit.

  • Yeah I just looked and it seems to be about £4O once VAT and shipping are added.

  • I'm putting my name down for a BRP jersey.

At that ^^ price that's very good.

  • List?

    1. Malaysian (chubby size)
    2. Spenceey (less chubby size)
  • gloss black on black?

[edit - just seen you can order one of any other item as long as you buy ten of any same item - i'm having a jacket too]

  • Just black on black...."Honest...there is a logo on there...4O notes please!"
    :]

  • I'd be up for a Jersey
