Andy, whats the reasonign behind headtubes on 14rs? they come up long when compared to anything else of the same size I think. Is that due to IHS?

It is because there are reynolds 853 integrated bearing cups brazed onto the head tube. We can make you one with out if you like?
But once you insert an external 1 1/18th headset, it will be the same overall diameter (or possibly more) than if you chose an integrated HS...

I'm a fan of less parts/simplicity and this is why it is the way it is. :)

actually thats a good point, with the stack height the headtubes are probably, as you said, same lenght if not longer.
