no contest on those three options. could be constructively wasting time on here, delivering more work than humanly possible and still have time for good LOVING

i've chosen, how long does it take to kick in?
-
• #54
are you invisible all the time? i wouldn't want to be all the time. Too many good 'ta-dahhhh!' moments.
No. When you want.
-
• #55
Is every part of you invisible at the same time?
Yes.
-
• #56

It depends, what did you go for?

it would be funny if (as some people believe they are) you were only invisible when you closed your eyes. then, no one could see you but you couldn't see where you were going either. you'd just be this vague shuffling, swearing presence with bruised shins appearing every few metres to rub your eyes and get your bearings.

• #58
Would your clothes be invisible too or would you have to walk around naked and invisible cos it's still a bit chilly for that.

[QUOTE=hugo7;2060406] I also feel a bit bad because the main advantage of invisibility is so you can do bad stuff.

I don't know about that, but you could certainly use it to only do "good".
The issue is that you are deceiving people. It's up to you to decide whether it's morally OK to deceive one person in order to help another.

But your eyelids would become invisible so you would be able to see.

I opted for flying

This is a bit of a deal breaker.

This is a tough area to work in, as you would be visible in a rain shower as the rain was deflected visibly off you. And if you were suddenly covered in paint. But what about general dirt, sweat and skin particles that are constantly shed?
So, I have decided that anything in constant direct contact with your skin can also be invisible.
So, socks but not shoes unless you go sockless, that kind of thing. Objects you carry will only be invisible if they are entirely out of contact with anything else (ie the carpet you walk on won't suddenly become invisible)Not very good science but it's all we've got so far.

Nah, I just want to be able to pop out to the offie without my neighbour asking me for a spare change.

RPM what about a cup of tea?
this is a minefield, fuck invisibility.
-
• #66
How about you've not technically invisible but that nothing you do or say attracts anyone's attention (bit like being at work). Sort of like Douglas Adam's SEP field.

I see, you're worried that the cup would become invisible but not the tea? better drink up then pal.

also i would want it to be activated by a spell of my own choosing. 'Alakazee, I bid thee..... INVISIBLE!!!', that sort of thing.
Whenever I croon "I believe I can fly, I believe I can touch the sky...", WHOOOSH!

No. You will be technically invisible. This does not, however, make the consequences of your physical presence invisible, for instance the depressions your feet would leave in a carpet/mud/grass whatever.

flying hands down.
both other options has draw backs out of the persons control.
invincible: if you get seriously ill and had to live another 20-40years in pain until you reach a natural ages of death
invisible: this would only work if you can do into a soul like state- which means you cant feel anything pleasure or pain, seems pointless -

Not entirely, keep to hard floors or deal with the consequences.
-

your feet would make a noise on hard floors. only good for frightening old dears.

Please define this.
What range of the electro-magnetic spectrum? How about detection via gravity distortions?
To the human eye, viewed through whatever medium.
