It looks ok, I wouldn't be too worried, especially as you're not on your own. Stick to the main roads and take a stick.
Good luck getting that thing on a train!

Cargobike? Why not ride it and make the miss your cargo?
You can take the canals all the way from Vic Park to Kings Cross, they're generally safe some, fastest route by far.
Going through east will be fine,Stick to the main roads and take a stick
, and done.
If anything does happen, its probably fate. -

You're not going through any dodgy areas so it's fine. And just ride the bike, no need to walk.

Beware the full moon, stay off the moors.

I wouldn't take a cargo bike on the canal. It's pretty narrow under some bridges.
The walk is not even verging on sketchy. Kings X, Islington, Shoreditch, Hackney Road, Victoria Park.

What you on about blud???
Islington is WELL bait, innit. -

If you have an irrational fear of cocktails and city workers, you're fucked.

Make sure the brakes are effective before riding down Pentonville Rd or Copenhagen street.

It should be a nice evening (if the rain holds off). Buy a few tins, throw them in the basket. Enjoy the walk.

Yep thought as much. gf likes the idea of taking a stick though, so we got that covered.

I wouldn't ride cargo bike on a canal route without a wet suit.

If anything does happen, its probably fate.By the time I through to other end there would literally be 1000's of cyclists, runners, push chairs etc in the canal! This thing is mahoosive!

Yeh thought as much, thanks! Bike's been sat a year (but only 2 years old) and is apparently unstable etc. See how it goes.

Can you take it apart?
Judging by the dimensions, the cage is the size of an average cooker. Without the wheels and the rear end it will fit on the back of a seven seater.Your planned route is a looong walk on a very busy street - you will end up bumping into hipsters and office workers.

THIS TRICYCLE IS NOT SUITABLE FOR RIDING WITHOUT A MINIMUM OF 50 LBS OF LOAD IN THE FRONT CARGO CAGE.
THE TRICYLE IS UNSTABLE AND CAN TURN OVER WHEN USED WITHOUT CARGO. DO NOT RIDE THIS TRICYLE WITHOUT CARGO AT MORE THAN 5 MPH SPEED.I presume it's very hard to control it as the front will flip from side to side.

Plan on taking the front off when I get to St Panc. Dismantles at the headset unlike the pashley cargo bikes where the whole cage can be dismantled.
Shit! Hipsters!! Right, well I knew Hackney was bad but obviously I don't want to fuck with a hipster so might take some skinny jeans & hair wax to barter for my life etc, just in case. If it's busybusy i'll find alternative route. Any suggestions?

just find a cattle plow like you get on trains that weighs 50 lbs and you're set.

Exactly, I'll find out just how hard when I pick it up but i'm not expecting "normal" handling. This guy http://bit.ly/gVlt4i said he had problems keeping it in a straight line so...

Cocktails? Is that racial slang? And are "city workers" different from none city workers then?

Collecting an Ebay purchase from Hackney tonight at 8 and live outside London so don't know the area very well. I'm pretty "street" and "down with the kids" but my girlfriend is... well... a delicate princess and I just want to make sure I know as much as possible about the return journey. (bringing her for the muscle)
This is the monster: http://bit.ly/hrpWdV
This is the postcode e9 7jh and the end destination is St Panc.
The route that Googlemaps suggests looks ok? I've been to Hackney before with no probs, but never at "night"!!!
Any suggestions about the journey?
Buy a gun, bat, blow dart, cattle prod etc?
Sounds soft I know... but she's one of a kind and if anything happened just because I didnt check for dodgy area etc...
