Round robin is 78 games. 2 courts, therefore 39 games per court. 15 mins per game (10 mins plus 5 mins changeover) = < 10 hours for round-robin.
I am willing to ref, but not to ref a third of the games, as this will mean reffing 26 games, which would put me & my team at a disadvantage. Ideally, I would like to ref no more than 10 games, which means we need 8 refs.

Birmingham?
I can't make the qualifier (Saturday worker) and wouldn't be able to afford the jaunt to Barcelona at this late notice anyway. There were a few more 'interesteds' up here, but I think the drawn-out organisational debacle (at Barca's end) and unconfirmed wild-card put a bit of a downer on things and fucked up everyone's budgeting and holiday bookings.
Gutted, but looking forward to 2012. Good luck to whoever qualifies - interested to see which regional teams get through.

That's a shame, but I understand where you're coming from... fair dos.
(London Open registration will open soon, get everyone in teams for then instead!)
