bringing up an old post but ive heard rumors that someone has bought the business and it will be staying open under new ownership? can anybody spread any light on this?

Anyone else been into "Keep Pedalling" yet?

Dropped by last week, some nice smaller brand bikes & accessories in there and a good selection of 2nd hand cycling books. Has bike workshop downstairs and is advertising custom wheel builds in the window.

Be interesting to see how KP and GBH do trade wise when in close proximity if the latter does remain open afterall. The NQ could sustain one bike shop, can it sustain 2?

Yeah I went into keep pedalling yesterday the couple that run it are really nice and friendly. Bought a saddle from there yesterday and the fella just swapped it over for me right away. Cool little shop be interesting to see what wheel builds they can do

Driving this beautiful Gazelle Aframe-bike (56cm CC) from Dover to Manchester / Liverpool / Blackpool and don´t want to take it back with Ryanair on saturday the 5th. If somebody is interested to pick it up on friday 4th. or saturday 5th November (morning) around Manchester...please let me know :) All parts are Campagnolo (just the pedals are not). Bike is in nice conditions. Colour has some scratches. Asking for 320Pounds.

Gazelle arrived save in Folkstone for tonight. It's a pleasure to ride it :)) Will go up north tomorrow...anybody there to pick it up on friday , saturday morning near Manchester/ Liverpool?

Gazelle arrived in London today. Will cycle up north tomorrow. Still looking for somebody who will pick this beauty up on friday-saturday in Liverpool/Manchester. Don't know the area there. So should be perhaps in the center.

Cycled to Liverpool today and will go up north tomorrow. Have some people interested but still nothing shure. AND don't worry the bike will not end up in the rubbishbins in Blackpool. But perhaps have to take it back with s....y Ryanair . So anybody shure about picking it up in Manchester on friday?

Bedroom is a good size, fully furnished.
There is also a parking space at the front.
(Very) Bike friendly and I think pets are welcome I don't mind but the landlord may if it's a massive dog.

In an effort to coordinate individual activities and to perhaps encourage and inspire a more productive winter polo programme for MCR, can we debate then formalise a set of basic and logical winter training activities suitable for those wanting to improve for the 2012 season of tournaments.

My suggestion is that we set aside the first half hour of Thursday at PH for a regular set of individual and team drills/exercises to improve skills, fitness and interteam play, before then playing competitive team games for an hour. The last hour can revert to social throw ins for us to all wind down and restore relations(!) and of course those that don't want to 'train' can arrive after the first half hour.

If we get a list of those who are in support of this (or something like this), we can then shape the activities that we believe will work for us both collectively and individually and, subject to us committing and repeating them through the winter, will pay dividends next year.

As an extension of the above, would we be be interested in taking some 'MCR travelling polo camps' to LDN and other polo cities during the winter ie. taking our complete teams and arranging with those cities to be able to play a day or two of team games (primarily so that we get to play a variety of teams over the winter period rather than ourselves repeatedly).

I'd also like to suggest we diarise a monthly weekend road or MTB ride of a decent duration and designed to improve stamina and sociability - anyone up for that idea?

4 rooms at my place in Chorlton will be available from the start of December, Ground Floor Front is huge and already available. Total 9 bedrooms total, two kitchens three bathrooms, garden with apples and pears. Very bike friendly, housemate has even moved his motorbike indoors for winter.

£377 inc bills except internets.

"Managed" by Montrose when they bother. They don't mention bills included in the ads so it's not going anywhere.
