  • 110 wow. Put Roberto Ferrari in as a long shot for the breakaway. Came in 3rd.

good work smallfurry.. i managed a modest 93pts yesteray, i think i may have peaked though :(

  • some of those hairpin descents look evil

  • Woohoo, a large reel in of 91 points! I suspect today's fairly unpredictable finish led to many not getting a particularly fruitful amount of points..

  • irritatingly i was going to put gatto in my team a stage or 2 ago cause of visconti being (apparently) injured but forgot :(, still 68 will do.

also, cant see cav winning shit now, maybe he will take stage 12, but petacchi is a nail on for the other sprints

  • y u get rid of visconti + popovych yesterday!!! where is nibali + the lazy cunt-pimple that is scarponi? mush mush mush you slags!!!

  • can/will saxo bank riders protect el matador over the next three stages..

  • i've dropped scarponi.. i'll probably regret it, but after m'ehtna not sure he's up to it, so invested in a lesser known climber.. also to buy better all rounders as i think this giro is proving their ability.. in two minds whether to lose pinotti.

really impressed with androni giocattoli, aqua sapone, movistar and farnese vini making their mark this year.. if i can sneek a bit of viewing between meetings in belgium over the next two days, i will..

  • Anyone else trying to see the giro through with no transfers?

Im on 440 as of today.

  • no fun without transfers.. a couple TTs after current mountain stages and sprinters pulling out, means spend money in the right places adds to the interest and intrigue..

second place for a bit, now tight at the top..

Good luck with the Purist league! The current leader in the Purist league has almost 200 points more than me. Woah.

  • just sorting out transfers now since i've nothing better to do. they've seemed to have dropped all the domestiques' value by 0.5. Hmm..

  • some of the riders seem to perform every other day, yo-yoing between 0pts and 20pts,
the giro is a massive juggling act and my team has lost 10million euros over the past two days..

  • My Italian team is leaking points, so I've had a bit of a shake up over the weekend.

Fingers crossed contador gets kicked out, and all points earnt from him are removed from the game. Difficult not to respect the guy after his recent performances. But this is fantasy cycling we're talking about here.

  • TT mountain stage tomorrow will be interesting,
i've shaken up my team with 3 transfers..
    prob regret it afterwards :(

  • OK, few transfers, my team now looks like this:

Alberto CONTADOR VELASCO SBS 45.0 GC
    Fabio SABATINI LIQ 16.9 PC
Jose Rodolfo SERPA PEREZ AND 14.7 KM
Christophe LE MEVEL GRM 20.7 AR

Lars Ytting BAK THR 6.7 DS
    Roberto FERRARI AND 11.2 DS
    Steven KRUIJSWIJK RAB 13.5 DS
Pablo LASTRAS GARCIA MOV 14.5 DS

I've gone all out on climbers. I've only spent 2.5 on the sprinter, so that leaves me with a tad more to spend with transfers. Got rid of Le Mevel, I think he's given up. Got Arroyo to do the job since he's actually a climber. You've got a few sprinters I see!

  • I'm slowly climbing up the table... was 17th at one stage and now i'm 11th. If the game runs for another 6 months, i might be in the top 10! :-o

  • I was doing well for a while there. But my refusal to put in Contador is costing me. I really need him to be caught doping during the Giro. Then his points would be removed from the game for the Giro, and I reckon I'd be boosted up a fair bit.

It would spoil what is an amazing show of strength, and further damage cycling. But this is my fantasy team dammit!

  • I have Lastras, Le Mevel & Bakelandts in the breakaway. Bet none of them get any points :(

How rightly predicted, ish. Although Bakelandts did get the most this stage.. Such a shame to relegate Visconti to 3rd!

  • i managed to transfer to very cheap sprinter for the final week, so that i can spend more on the domestiques and ARs, some have performed epic feats in the giro.. the shuffling of riders does make it interesting. not sure i could cope with the purist stance or denying contrabore his place in my team.

Sabatini is the only sprinter left according to today's start list.

  • Sabatini is the only sprinter left according to today's start list.

i think he means he used a sprinter which isn't listed as 'rider in next stage'. the cheapest sprinter is 2.5!

  • 112 points last stage. ThinK I just have a taste for breakaway artists.

Normal service will resume now I imagine.

Didn't think of that... might be my tactic for tomorrows stage then.
