Hi, not living in manchester, but coming over with a few friends next friday (24th) for a short visit. Just wondering if there would be any polo session or alley cats on that particular night? On saturday we start our journey to Dublin.

Hi, came here to ask the community about frame builders but need to up my posts to 3 before i can start a new thread. Having just moved back to the north west, spent last few years in south west, the Wyre/ Lancashire councils suck at path designs and even more so at maintaining roads lol

Wheelbase might be a bit long but it's worth a try.

Hello Manchester folk.
I'm starting my PGCE in September so going to be looking for somewhere to live (ideally a studio/bedsit without shared bathroom/kitchen), have you any suggestions on: 1. where is cheap; 2. where to search for flats; 3. if there are any decent estate agents.
Looking forward to meeting a few of you & I may even give this polo a go... -

Avoid Ash Residential they really are the worst lettings agency I have ever rented with.

Homes4u are a bit cunt-ish as well.
And their café thing is shit.

^ & ^^ Agree with both

Ha! Thanks, I like it. Sounds like all letting/estate agents are as bad as each other, but with some being slightly worse.

Hi Betty, I live in M8 postcode, just north of the city centre. I rent a pretty nice and relatively spacious 1 bed flat for £400 a month, which is much cheaper than I could get in most of south manchester for the same sort of place. Its not the greatest area but i'm 5 mins ride from the city centre.
I totally agree about letting agents being shit, I rent from a private landlord now who is an absolute legend and super helpful...

If you're a bit older and don't really wanna doss around with kids, you could look at Chorlton, Whalley Range, West Didsbury and maybe Hulme. I'd take a day or two and visit the areas (as opposed to do it all online) then you can find the estate agents, but also you can find private landlords from ads in shop windows etc if you're lucky.

Depends how likely you are to come out with a pump and new tube when I call you with a puncture at 2259.

And obviously, come play polo, we don't have enough mechanics palying.
