I'm pretty tall myself.. hence the back pain. Just find it so hard to find a regular bike that doesn't cause me back pain.

MODIFY IT
As said, cut the rear rack out, and add a 700 or at least a 26" with fat tyres.
DON'T put bmx bars, get some of those uber wide things:
Then probably ss or hub gear. Ideally a hub gear with a grifter style shiter. Or possibly better a US-style stickshift coming off the handle bars.
