I have an idea, well a borrowed idea really...
I did this with Nes from the Manchester forum, it's like a file-sharing kind of deal but offline. We've all probably got a shit-ton of music but always need/want more, so we make cds for each other with mystery playlists and pass them around, you get the tracklisting etc but it's like the opposite of getting something to order, you get a cd with (hopefully) stuff you haven't heard before and maybe a few tracks click with you and there you go, you're into a new band or three. So, either by post or in person (polo/rides) you swap cds one for one and you can just keep doing it for as long as you like, no money, just the cost of a few blank cds.
I have way too much music, I guess the stuff I have most of is off kilter singer songwriter, kosmiche/drug rock, doom/stoner/shit like that, minimal electronica, crazy French electronica, dub, post rock/instrumental rock and probably dodgy weird stuff.
I realise that I'm not exactly selling it there but the beauty is if we do this that someone will have something you like...So, anyone want a cd for a cd?

I'm totally up for this scheme, however most of my wacky/independent/interesting music is on vinyl, and I haven't bought anything for about 7 years. I can still put together 1-2 decent mix cds, though.

plus one, all mine is on vinyl, and we only meet up twice a year to spin them on a set of 1210's, very varied, but interesting.

birmingham fgss mixtape swap? I'm up for this. I thought of doing a mixtape ride a while ago (including a mixtape swap) but I wasn't sure how to incorporate a ride around this...

@ anyone
I'll have cds at Beers, reciprocate there or at your leisure.
They WILL be random, that's the general idea. But if anyone wants specific albums/artists I'm more than happy to do that too, but that's a separate thing

Gosh, I'd forgotten about Laura Veirs. Saltbreakers is excellent.
This is technically Frou Frou...amazing. Love the breakdown in the recorded version.
