Somebody here's got to buy the dodgy Lekkis, don't make me the only one! £150 to save 190 grams...how can any respectable weight weenie resist? If you ebay your heavy calipers, the Lekkis could even be free!

Kinda tempted.

Compared with what? My current weight-weenie brakes are only 236g including pads. They're also stiff and bolted straight on with no fuss like normal mass market calipers 🙂

Compared with Dura Ace of course. Anyway, should probably leave this thread to the normal people. Perhaps we need a special thread for gram counting nonsense. (I've bought special weights so I can calibrate my scales.)

This thread has always contained a significant level of weight-weenie, it's rooted in the quest for light crabon fribe by people who can't really afford it.

Dhgate.com should have them, shipping will be a lot slower than Ali though.

Fascinated by boutique light rim brake callipers. Any other nice options out there? (no, not eebrakes).

And after max pressure has been applied between rim and pads, you can continue to squeeze the lever, because the arms bend so much! Probably best not to do that. But very weird to see.
Hmmmm, flexible brake calipers. Sooooo not tempted.

Not as many as there used to be, since AX-Lightness stopped making brakes. THM Fibula is still available

KCNC CB3 https://ebay.us/hh8bO6 Not exactly nice.

I always loved my M5 Bram brakes. So much stiffer than much of the other WW options

Didn't those Revl brakes get recalled for trying to kill people?
Heavy, Dangerous, Expensive. Pick two.

Don't think this quite stands up well. What about Shimano Sora brakes. Heavy, yeah, dangerous or expensive, no

It was just a silly joke.

Didn't those Revl brakes get recalled
Some did, but not my batch.

I would love some of those but they never come up on ebay.

Looking to order a rack on AliExpress. Does anyone have any experience with the faster shipping option, (i.e. £20 something vs. £10 something) does it make an actual difference?

Got a set of these after seeing an earlier post, look good and the lenses quality is actually alright

Is there any genuine UV protection with those?
-
• #9773
I doubt it
-
• #9774
They are almost certainly made of polycarbonate, which is inherently UV blocking:

Just an FYI: it's important that sunglasses do block UV. This is because your eyes only detect visible light and dilate based on visible brightness. If you're looking at something dim in visible but bright in UV (ie. sunglasses that don't block it), your eyes will be wide open, taking in a crap load of UV that does a lot of damage - worse than not wearing any.
Seems nearly all sunglasses block UV these days (even fake ones) but maybe worth a test with an LED if you've got one
This is my understanding anyway
Definitely some closet weight weenies here!
Just ordered an Elita One seatpost from AliExpress with the intention of chopping 200mm off immediately.
