Light Bicycle wheel finally on my bike but my valve extender doesn't fit valve hole. Reckon I'm ok to sand or file it bigger? Are they smaller for tubeless or something?

I agree with you on the sunglasses - i would be happy to have the jauxbreakers without the logo (tbh I would actually prefer that
but rolex do not use stock movements...

Sure, sorry I was kinda jumping to another point and mentioned rolex because Scilly brought them up. Didn't mean to sound like I meant they did. I think the reason I like the idea of fake Rolexs is that they are such a stereotypical luxury purchase that I have no problem with them being ripped off.
Wouldn't wear one though (although one of my friends dad's has an og 34mm Explorer which is lovely)
Edit: you didn't mention them oops

I feel comforted that I'm a muppet who wouldn't actually spend £200 on sunglasses. I'm never going to buy the real thing, and I would be quite happy with the Aliexpress item sans branding.
But I'm not wearing fake things because I think it makes me look cool / other people won't notice.
@branwen: But you did decide to buy a fake item rather than either the real thing, a cheaper branded alternative whether Oakley or not, or generic. Why is that?

I've bought plenty of Bloc and other saftey glasses in my time, ironically at least one set that were remarkably similar to the current Rapha ones but about 5 years too early (#CSB).
I've also received a pair of real Oaklys through work, and the lens' were nice, but I've also bought replacement transition lens' from Walleva which are basically identical in visual quality. So I guess a mix of interest to see what quality was like, and the potential to put in a real lens' or one from Walleva if I thought it might be an improvement (which tbh I don't think it would be).
I guess - since it sounds like you want an opinion - it comes from cynicism at late stage capitalism. Taking sunglasses as an example; Raybans used to be a quality brand made with glass and metal, but were then bought by Luxotica (who basically have a monopoly in luxury eyewear), and quality drops whilst prices rise. There is a pretty clear change in most mass market products from a label being a signifier of a quality product, to being a Lable which is meant to signify its own value, and increasing profits through cutting costs and quality

People buy fakes, myself included, because you want something that does the job and looks cool but for 1/10th the price of the genuine product.
-
• #5933
Luxotica have such a monopoly that no matter how many fakes are sold, their prices are so high that they can make money from those who can afford it. All the fakes are just free advertising. No-one else has the money to go after the fakes, and luxotica aren't that bothered.

I think this is the only honest answer. The other justifications seem well, a bit contrived. And Oakley is just one example.

Shrug, you do you
And congratulations on asking for my opinion, and then dismissing it as invalid - have you considered politics?

Are there any recommendations for a 48t 130BCD chainring? Narrow Wide preferred, or 3/32 single speed tooth profile otherwise. Cheers in advance!

• #5943
I got mine from Amber bikes
-
• #5944
65 Euro though... cheaper just to get a Woolftooth. Are the Amber-Bikes rings good or better quality?
-

Well, before seeing this post I thought I'd have a gamble on some of their 3/4 tights. Here's hoping they arrive before the end of (Australian) winter.
Going off the feedback, it seems like the product is fine, but the service is somewhere between poor and atrocious, depending on your luck. My fingers are crossed.
Ludicrous. Might buy some for the lolz.
