All over - the shops disappear as soon as they pop up. Search for models, e.g. 'jawbreaker' then find the one with the most sales/highest feedback. The shop I got mine from closed the week after (but they were still shipped). I think Oakley catch up with them so they close and reopen.

I'll keep some money aside then.
Out of interest, did they come wih rim tape? If not, what type and width rim tape did you use?

that's helpful, thanks. I'll see what I can find.

Having said all that, it seems the store I used is still open, just the product was ended for a while. This is the same as what I got. I asked for Oakley branding in a message just to make sure.

are you happy with the quality of the lenses?
-
• #5282
I have nothing to compare them too really, and I've only used the shouty 'fire' ones but they seem fine. I think you can swap in proper Radar lenses, but don't hold me to that.
-
• #5283
fair enough - just curious if they keep out sun glare to a reasonable degree and ventilate well enough?
-
• #5284
Oh yeah, the ones I've used have been too dark if anything, and they definitely ventilate better than my non cycling sunnies. I've only worn them with contacts, which I'm not used to wearing, so it's hard to tell what the lenses are like clarity wise, as my contacts don't let me see as well as my specs/prescription sunnies.

Iirc there is somekind of tubeless-esque red or yellow tape. Not sure is it airproof though

Just opened that aliexpress link above and my phone asks me if I want to let Firefox take photos/video...
-
• #5287
It's because aliexpress has a 'search by photo' feature which may actually prove to be super useful, but conversely also make it easier for companies to find and remove fakes.

Oh.

Just ordered one of these on the continued quest for comfort. I do find the prices unbelievable. £13 for an SMP copy to my door from 6,000 miles away.

If my bottom agrees I hope I can get the artwork off the leather though. Will acetone be my best bet?

Are you just referring to SMP in general, or that particular one? My line of thinking was, buy this for almost nothing. If it turns out to be the holy grail that others talk about, buy a nicer one / many for all my bikes. If I don't like, it will be on offer here for £6.

I got that exact saddle from Amey yesterday. Its actually better than I was expecting for £12. And first impressions are that I quite like the shape. It is ugly though, and I can't think of any way to get the "artwork" off. Its embossed into the material. I might try a sharpie but I doubt that will last.

For the price, I might try sandpaper....anything will be better than having "Challenger" scrawled down the side. Why can't they just do plain saddles...
-

I've got a few saddles from Bullitt with some WC stripes on. Came off using acetone and left the black underneath.
-
• #5296
I also got a SMP imitation from AliX, which came in plain black. Maybe with a single white logo.
-
• #5298
Gahhhh....I scrolled for hours and didn't find that fooking saddle.

• #5299
