• Looks more like an evo, but yeah looks pretty spot on

  • I've got vcls 2 china post and I weigh 100kg. It's a very strong post.

  • i weigh 85kg. no problems with it whatsoever. i thought it might creak or something but not one bit. it is really very solid

it must be mentioned that installing it has to be done correctly ie

    1) work out correct angle
    2) tighten the bolt within the seatpost ever so slightly, so the angle doesnt change
    3) insert into frame
    4) tighten seatclamp to appropriate torque
    5) remove post
    6) torque bolt with seatpost appropriately

  • I have one, its not legit, the moulding underneath shows it up. That being said, i dont think it'll break and its comfy and cheap. I put mine on my hack bike, so I can have romin comfort without worrying if some cunt steals my £90 saddle.

  • Cheers, I'll give it a try.
Another question, I never done Aliexpress/baba before. What kind of payment method is ok to use? Save to give my card details?

  • yeah If I recall they dont have paypal. I guess I paid with card. It is the worlds biggest (?) online retail company so I think it is safe to assume they are 100% legit

  • anyone know of any 0mm setback carbon seatposts that are good? need a 31.6mm for my kagero and thought this would be a good place to start

  • Any experience with tubeless 25mm carbon rims?
    What to get?

  • Also looking for the low down on the latest Chinese carbon rims? Which suppliers have you's been using?
I bought a chinese frame two years ago. I just had a look on the farsport site and prices seem to have goon up a bit in the past two years??

  • Ihave used this the company in the past:

    ebay.co.uk/sch/diy-bike/

I still have all my teeth and the quality is good, while keeping prices reasonable.

  • No doubt this has been covered - carbon clinchers with latex tubes?

  • what do you weigh? how much descending involved?

  • 72kg. Limited. Exclusively UK based riding.

  • You might live.

  • That's good enough for me!

  • 24 or 28 spokes for 50mm carbon road disc clinchers?

    Im around 73kg

  • I'm upper 80's and ride 24 spoke 50mm road disc clinchers (23mm wide).
    No issues whatsoever.

  • who is going to sell me this set of rims? all clinchers

60mm 25 wide toroidal, braking surface
    24h + 20h

60mm 25 wide toroidal, no braking surface
    24h + 20h

60mm 28 wide toroidal, no braking surface
    24h + 24h

  • light bicycle

i'd be keen to share shipping if London.

  • Could do, although this is more windowshopping for me. $1200 of rims + building them in to wheels is slightly more than my current budget allows...

  • ha! they build the wheels too, I think a novatec build comes up sub $600 including shipping.

  • Ah that's not a bad price but I have specific hub based requirements for some of those sets. Got to factor in tax too 😕

  • am also interested in disc specific carbon clinchers..

  • If we can get a bulk order together that ends up with me getting everything for free then im totally down.

I think 60mm clinchers sans brake track would be good for discs.

  • I've just finished a bike with some of the carbon clinchers from eBay, 20 spoke 60mm front and 24 spoke 88mm rear. Came pre built on novatec hubs. I weigh 80kg, have only covered about 20 miles or so on them thus far but have to say I'm very happy with them.

They do have a brake track but I'm brakeless. So can't comment on its abilities.

Price wise, 290 shipped and I paid 30 quid in some form of duty once they landed in the UK. The seller was cycling-cycling
