Anyone tried the bikedomeworks track hubs http://bikedomeworks.tw/product.html ? Quite like the look...

They're novatec with bolt options. I have them on my track bike. Although, they didn't have stock of the drilling I wanted so I ordered from BDOP and added the bolt on option.

I was thinking about getting the Corsa SC II Open for summer vibez

Excellent

Corsa's are good. Ridiculously fast rolling and great grip in the dry, but awful in the wet or greasy/damp.
Like pave's they cut up easily, but unlike the pave's they have little to no puncture protection, and they also wear quite quickly.

The newer Corsas (Isogrip?) have come on a long way.

was thinking of taking up specialised's offer

but yes am also considering the vittorias as you seem so happy with them (usually hard to get excited over tyres no?)

yes so i have heard, potentially a bit racey for me but at that price probably not the end of the world

I've got the Spesh Turbos myself and they are v nice with an almost sticky feel to the compound but definitely not super robust.
Spesh Roubaix Pro tyre hits the speed/durability sweetspot for me.
and it's Lion Tire (a subsidiary of Vittoria) in Thailand

The RRP fucking sucks as Spesh don't allow discounting except from them or occasional offers in Cyclesurgery.
-
• #3441
I've seen them on sale a fair bit - but only end of season closeout stuff. Silly Spesh - that RRP is dumb.

i have two very knackered gatorskins (why I keep these things I have no idea) I will trade in tomorrow :-)

Just bought myself one of these, will report back when I have it.

Are yuo sure? I interpretated the blurb on e-bay that they used to be novatechs, but now have changed to some other manufacturer http://www.ebay.com/itm/BDW-2014-Track-Hub-Bolt-on-type-Fix-Fix-Single-Speed-20H-24H-28H-32H-36H/231494587614?_trksid=p2047675.c100011.m1850&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D29381%26meid%3Dd0121e94ba0f4f50a7d69b4ba5fdf2bd%26pid%3D100011%26rk%3D2%26rkt%3D2%26sd%3D231359009004
They look like a Phil knock off.
-
• #3447
yeah, those aren't the novatec's, seem decent though
-
• #3448
Does look it, Phil are made in the state are they?

They have changed the look slightly since I enquired about my order. I'm pretty sure the only difference in that hub is cosmetic (the little bulge in the middle) and the will no doubt perform the same as Novatec. Which is no bad thing.
Either way they are good value for money and you should go probably for it. The bearings are good in them (if they are the same as the Novatec ones I have) and they can easily be replaced or upgraded. I'm sure +mdcc_tester has all the bearing info you would ever need.
