Many would. I suspect they would also be mistaken. AFAIK Planet X carries out no in-house QC. Pretty sure they don't even open the boxes normally.

Doubtful, the main advantage of going through the very expensive route is simply warranty (2 years, and 10 years on titanium).

The fact they (planet x and others) warrant and are legally liable for the frame being safe to standard has got to be worth the £80 extra though hasn't it?

The chances aren't huge but if your bought-direct frame cracks you're on your own with only dental bills and painkillers for company.

Its been more than a year for this one ;) I've read successful warranty claim stories on WW with HongFu; I trust them
