• This is of course Knscobledge rather than Knowledge.

    haahahah

  • Seems as though my new crabon fibber rims are already in London, despite the fact that they only left Xiamen yesterday. Nice work, Farsport. Power meter wheels here we come...

Building stuff and putting it in boxes, shipping it to europe. Its pretty much what that country is about so are you surprised they are good at it? :D

  • Not sure about that Knscobledge .. Paul Lew was recently on web claiming the shape is easy to mould and which is why the new 'performance' Reynolds wheels will have rounded aero profile shape while the top 'aero' Reynolds wheels will have the Dispersive Effect Termination design which is more complex to mould .. Could all be marketing BS though

    It's the same DET bollocks.

  • Interesting thing is if you look on Reynolds web site they have the usual graph against competitors .. But also they have a link to a white paper, which has the same graph page 5, but with the HED 90 shown this time. Now, I'm no aero man and I didn't read the paper only looked at the pictures, but the HED doesn't look far off the Reynolds ..

  • Different yaw angle. Their argument will be that it's closer to the yaw your wheel would get at 30mph or whatever. It's fucking annoying because every manufacturer makes "the fastest wheels in the world*".

*so long as you're riding into an 80mph 5deg offside headwind and don't weigh more than 47kg.

  • every manufacturer has their own charts...

Compared to the other direct-sale Chinese companies, that's very fast in my experience. I usually expect shipping to take considerably longer than that, given that both my orders from Light Bicycle, and my orders from Hong Fu and GoToBike all took at least a week to shamble their way over to these shores. So yes, pretty surprised. Mind you, I suppose that is more of a reflection on the shipping company they use rather than the vendor of the goods.

  • What depth?

    44mm

  • Yay! My rims (Farsport FSL-50CMs) have arrived and look jolly spiffy. Now it's a race to see if I can build the wheels in time for Flat out in the Fens on Sunday, and see just how little power I produce during that one.

  • Just ordering a set of 50mm rims and have no idea to change my order from gloss to matte :(

  • Email them!

  • It's not the fact that I can't email them, it's the decision do I change to matte or stay gloss?

  • I asked for matte, and they sent gloss for my last wheels - so it's a bit of a lottery anyway.

  • Matt.

    Has to be matt.

  • ^Agreed. Matt looks much better

  • How are people thinking about these?

Also any 80+kg guys riding them?

    I'm 85kg at times.

If your worried about being too heavy, use more spokes. Its the spoke tension that'll end up being the limiting factor.

Damn sorry I completely forgot my link, meant to post the fake 3t forks.

  • So even after breaking the Dolan forks, you're planning on buying an Aliexpress full carbon fake?

  • Nope not for me mate.
