Mine weigh less than my socks, and are stiffer than my XC ski boots. I dont trust them. They be the devils work.
I'm fecking miserable right now. My hamstrings have been destroyed from 2 hours touch rugby, at -4C last night, and a poorly planned morning commute. I literally cant walk. The labs only reached 16C, and my toes are still frozen.
So close to getting the credit card out for some Lake winter boots.

Less shoe talk, more wheels on electronic scales with discussion over actual vs claimed weights please.
I've seen how this goes down on WW forum and you lot are clearly doing it wrong. -

I can confirm these rumours. The claimed weight was 1240 grams, and my pair come in at 1202 grammes.
The supplied skewers are made of lead though, at 55 grams each.

Right, ive inspected the wheels and they look the business.
Claimed weight: 1350g
Actual weight: 1351gI feel properly shafted about the 1gram extra...
They are very true, bearing on the front spins forever, the rear one seems tighter but hopefully that will loosen up. Freehub is noisy as fuck though, will look into how to quiet that down.
Im still waiting for some tubs to arrive, will report back once its up and running.

That's more like it!

I have it on good authority that for 2012 UCI have restricted use of those shoes to Italians or those of Italian descent only, like the wearing of crucifixes and crying after winning*.
The scrutineers will be all up in your ass, best get some oversocks.
*Haussler was fined €1000's

Haussler couldn't have been fined that much given how little he's won in recent seasons.

All the best hubs I have owned have been noisey as feck. There is a simple mechanical solution though. Pedal, you lazy shite.

Can't argue with that logic :)

I prefer a noisy freehub. Not sure why though, just do. Each to their own.

I'm just too used to my fixed bike now which is ninja silent.
Am thinking it could be a good thing, its a very angry buzzing sound, kind of like a swarm of bees. Might be useful for clearing peds.

Shimano hubs are quiet. Quiet hubs are better.
As a masterful crit wheelsucker, soft pedaling behind someone before destroying them in the sprint is very important. CK were the worst for their feehub noise.

I use my Hope ProII trials hubs to warn hikers of my approach. Much better than coughing or having a bell.
Hippy. If you are soft pedalling, any hub will be silent. I am disapoint...etc.
-
• #1323
Soft pedaling and coasting. I'm sure you get the idea.
-
• #1324
On the contrary- noisy hubs are good.
They are the only warning that you get if someone if front of your hauls on the brakes for no discernable reason when you are in a pack.

On the contrary - noisy hubs are bad. I was looking to win races.
I can tell when people are slowing down in front with my eyes.
There is a fragile beauty about bont shoes.
