Also keen to hear from anyone who’s got these. I’m stupid and bought the real McCoys and can’t help wonder how they compare.

Don't know if they are the exact same one (they look very very very similar), but Orient Express GOD Trace Velo was not impressed - https://youtu.be/ZXqFx-GbSPE?t=683
*edit
Now that I have rewatched the video, they seem to have reinforced the area where Trace Velo's cages failed. -

@TotalShanner as well
I bought some and had no issues on a trip to the Alps - however haven’t used them for ages so can’t rule out that they might still fail in the future?

That’s a different cage from the one that Titch has linked.

Ok, my genuine ones twist without too much effort.
The chap from carbonworks told me to use a small amount of carbon paste between the bolt and the cage body and to only torque the bolts to 1Nm…
The don’t twist so easily with carbon paste in there but they still move more than I’d like. They do grip the bottle very well though.
Do yours twist on the frame easily?

Will have to go and have a look - that bike is in storage! From memory though, i don’t recall any twisting (and what do you mean by twisting exactly?)
And agree - the ones in that vid look different (profile of the ‘U’ is different).

Yep I have em. Used them for 6 months or so on a daily ridden bike and they were perfect.
Only stopped as I've got to some carbon Arundel now -
• #10434
Thanks all, think they might be worth a punt and will report back as they look reinforced at the base and who doesn't like some carbon weenie weave on display!
Have a pair of AE 'Bontrager' cages on another bike and they've been great. -
• #10435
and what do you mean by twisting exactly?
The cage it’s self could rotate around the mounting points slightly.
But… I’ve actually just got to the bottom of it just there. I went to the bike to get a photo to show what I meant.
But I noticed that the bottle cage rivets have clear coat over them. The rivets have a textured surface that helps grip on to the cage, but they haven’t been masked of during painting and the clear coat has smoothed over the textured surface.I just took a pick and chipped into the clear coat a little to rough it up and reinstalled the cage and it’s now much more solid!
Glad it’s sorted, had been annoying me for ages.

Are they for sale? 👀

• #10437
You already have them, so second (more deserving) dibs 😉

• #10438
Gonna keep em for the next bike soz

• #10439
Ha! Its prison rules on the Orient Express...
-
• #10440
They're solid. I've had two pairs and they have been faultless.
-
• #10441
Just to ruin the vibe - I've got a pair of these and after about a year they just stopped gripping the bottles properly.
-
• #10442
Thanks mate
If they performed for a year, I'd still be keen as the 'creep' and bottle bounce in the Elites I've got on that bike at the moment drives me mad -

Anybody go any Foakleys or 100% glasses they want rid of? I remember someone bought a few pairs and was offloading the rest. I've left it too late to buy from aliexpress as I'm going away for a trip in a few weeks.

Have a daft Day of the Dead themed ride with friends, obviously a few months off but got a few of these - quality seems pretty good for £8.50 and the sizing guide quite accurate

Anyone organising a Light Bicycle Group buy at the moment?
-
• #10446
Also interested in a LB group buy if one is arranged in the next few weeks. Potentially could do the admin too if someone points me in the right direction.

Email LB. Ask for discount.

You can get 20% off pro rims with a minimum order of 6.
I could be interested. -
• #10449
Sounds good, is that 6x rims or 6 pairs of rims/wheels?
I'll drop them a line this morning, have bought from them before so have a contact somewhere
-

6 rims. I do t think you get much in full builds
Know there's been a few on here with these, but just wanted to get feedback as keen to get a pair if they're recommended?
