He keeps saying "circle training" and "circle racing" when he (presumably) means 'track'.
Substituting circle for track isn't a thing is it?

I dunno why you guys care so much, I mean its only morons getting sucked in.
Look at his physique, come on man.
Even that paper called him a cyclist, not amateur/pro/hobbyist. Just, man with bike.
Let the plebs and normies have their moment, its cute if anything.HOWEVER
"Thankfully I fell to my left and into a bank, rather than coming down on the road or pavement."
So a passing car wobbled him off...
"mere mortals – the gearing is so high that you need immense leg power and perfectly efficient technique, your legs need to work dead straight up and down like pistons to avoid unbalancing the bike."
Oh Chris!

He managed to complete his French test despite finishing with an energy-sapping 1,655-metre climb and having a flat tyre for 50 of the 80 miles.
He really needs to have a word with his support crew.

The London-Paris race turned out to be 263.3 miles, as opposed to the 240 Welham expected
WTF?

As much as I don't want to bump this thread, check out this tweet.
I can't remember the last race I saw that had food stops.
https://twitter.com/NW3JazzClub/status/884063388816596992The 'race' is this.

Devil's advocate here, but as I understand it, Gran Fondos are races. Mass participation, mass start, everyone head to head, point to point. Fast at the front, much slower at the back. Not dissimilar to your local half marathon or something. Tend to be won by ex pros. I'm not defending the guy on anything else though.
