hmm, yeah, looks like it might be. I'm sure someone mentioned it to me though. And almost every site on the internet seems to have joined the protest today, making it hard to check anything.
Anyway, so Canterbury, Southampton, Froome.

I talked to both Canterbury & Southampton at the Bike Show. Both might be open to tournaments in the summer, maybe with some help from us
yeah. I met the southampton guys too. I dont think they play much. One of them commutes to polo from the isle of wight.. which would be an awesome location for a tourney if we can find a court...

I'm temporarily moving to the Island after breaking up with my girlfriend- will try and track down the Island players and search out a court. Summer polo bootcamp!!! I have fuck all else to do apart from hang out with my parents and avoid people I used to go to school with.

I used to play in Southampton before i moved away, as i far as i know no one has played there for a long time, but I know some people are trying to get it going again at the moment. We played with some people from the isle of wight a few times in Portsmouth, there was at least 4 of them from the island.

Other polo cities, Glasgow?
I hear they're trying to play a little in Aberdeen too.

IoW would be amazing!

I am really looking forward to the NS. Great series, great way to get some tournament polo in against good teams, without blowing the bank.

Brighton are looking at dates and have decided on a weekend in the last two weeks of May of first two on June. What does the polo diary say about this?
It may only be a long day (floodlit) event so is less intrusive.

Cheers for that. I can see interest, but I don't know if it would feel like to devastating a clash.

Yep, you've got Padova, but nothing else planned so far.
You can see the LHBPA google calendar (which contains all the dates) here:
And now also here: http://www.lhbpa.org/whats-on/

Cheers John, I knew there must be something like that about.

So is there a NS this year? Personally I haven't done anything towards it (European tournament saturation being the main reason, but also I wasn't completely happy with the format) but there are two NS events lined up and it was on the last LHBPA agenda so I guess it's happening?

John, you broke the website again!
Shall I remove that page from the menu (it's not that pretty and is mainly for internal use, right)? Or what do you have in mind? Most of the dates you've put in are unconfirmed and (in my opinion) should be for internal planning/awareness only (Worlds, LO, Euros, etc)? There is a more extensive tournament schedule on LOBP for the international scene, I'm not sure why we're duplicating the info?
The National Series was proposed to be passed to the UKHBPA to deal with I think.

Just saw that, I've emailed you Jon.

Do it late May / early June! -

The dates. Please don't book any flights or whatever based on that calendar, it's just for reference, built up of dates on various other forums.

Please expand on this. The National Series is not an LHBPA event and I haven't spoken to anyone who worked on the NS about this?

It would be good to talk to them, and offer our support.
Also there are scenes in Froome and Lancaster we don't have much contact with, might be worth a chat.
