Discovery? In January? That's not right.

The lagerisation of bitter has been creeping up on us for years. Summer ale was just the thin end of a wedge whose fat end we are now at the end of. Um, er, disco disco disco.

Went out and did the widowmaker this morning. Beautiful crisp morning and I didn't realise how gorgeous that route is what with the darkness. Will be out hammering the Hemel route next week in prep for new season.

Also that was test of new, climbing-friendly frameset. Less pain ftw!

I will not be able to organise TNRC this year for two reasons. i) Due to increased work commitments and ii) an extended football career. The old body can't handle two consecutive evenings of professional sport and I have decided to play football instead of TNRC because I won't be able to play for much longer yet I hope to be able to cycle until well into my 43rd year

You'll only wreck your knees playing football, better stick with just cycling.

I read that as "stick with just crying", which as a west brom fan you are well used to. Not sure how it would effect your knees, other than water on the knee from so many tears.

I'm looking to be riding this year, have got a decent front light at last. Going through a bit of a moving nightmare at the mo, so when that's all sorted I'll be ready. Planning to do the E4 Ecstasy next week sometime.

When does the season kick off?

Mid March going by previous years. The weather might influence the decision on exactly when.

I'm going on the turbo tonight. I've not got the right bike set-up to go out, and had enough of ~zero degrees during a hundred fixed miles on Sunday.
