I'm getting the 19h42 from Blackfriars, direct to SMC for 20h21
That would be why I didn't see you on the platform for the 20.12 train. I somehow jumbled arrival and departure times and then shifted some numbers around.
I got to blackfriars ar 19.44.
Wasn't meant to be.

Get Blackfriars train with 2 minutes to spare --> train slightly delayed --> no-one @ SMC --> leave message on STE5's phone --> leave SMC just after 20h30, forever alone --> fucking hammer it --> no-one at right turn halfway up hill out of Ightham --> go a bit further --> no-one --> get to Swan pub/restaurant --> confused; don't want to risk getting lost --> check phone: no messages --> do u-turn --> fucking hammer it in reverse (but not reverse) --> catch train @ SMC, forever alone, 35 miles and 1h45 later.
Fuck you very much.
My sort of ride.

BMMF, that sucks dude, hope you got something out of it.
Tim, sorry about the wheel. Fucking looters. If they get caught they'll probably get life.
Rest of you - sounds awesome.

so Kent1R turned out to be a winner.
route felt so different rolling on it the other way. that climb of botsom was a killer, even walking the last 50 or so metres as i did. the one later on was at least doable on my 67 GI.
some lovely long flowing descents. some epic spinning.
nice bunch to roll with. thanks to jaygee for a little garmin assistance (needed between stone street and the right hand up church lane - missed by Bainbridge and a few others , tut tut) and to Texas for doing a great job sweeping up at the back - will thank the Cornish horses for the volunteering for that.
really sorry to miss sam and tim, and of course, even more so scarlett. and will miss shoots for the remainder of the season - got some different kind of miles to clock up.

Perfect night for riding and a great route - cheers for getting us round Jonny. First geared ride since cracking a frame on an early TNRC - Condor's prowess in setting up SRAM was well tested on a couple of those climbs. Shame to miss bmmf out there and bad luck with the wheel Tim, we held a minute's silence for you half way up the first hill - well no one was talking anyway. Surrey 5 hills reverse must be on the cards sometime.

Tim
Stolen rear wheel on a phicksie, sounds like the biggest bedwetting excuse ever to me. It has to be up there with the dog ate my homework and the cat did a whoopsie in my beret.Hope you get sorted soon.
Is there a deluxe next week?

Does that mean we can cut through his trunk to see how old he really is using dendrochronology?
-
• #3647

That early climb was a killer. Slumping over the cranks was the preferred method of ascent, pins having been sapped of all strength by the half way point.
With a recent house move, my final reinvigorating stretch over Blackfriars Bridge has been replaced by a dirty spin through Rotherhithe tunnel. Not going that way again. Coughs
Cheers all, just the ticket.
