Now I'm jealous, I do love an owl, not in the romantic sense, or at least not when it's raining cos then it would be too wet to woo.

i forgot the deer!
me and sam were riding 2 abreast when the biggest fucking deer i've ever seen jumped onto the road from the left and straight off to the right.
it must have been 5 foot in front of our wheels.
queue a couple of seconds silence before the realisation that both of us could have been nailed if it had chosen to stop.add a massive owl to the list of nature spots and the ride won all round.

plenty of win out there. i enjoy the random banter that sleep deprived pain brings on at about 5am onwards. respect goes out to all the riders for making it another top experience.

just to confirm that was a double puncture not anything else.
sorry Steve. we just thought that you Sam and Ludwig were getting to know each other , we didn't realise it really was a double puncture or we would have offered to help.

Just a little warning up front...
I've got a front light on order but most likely won't get here by Tues, so if it's ok with everyone I'll stick a couple of good standard lights on and stay within the pack. Sorry.

I can lend you a hope for the evening if you like.

just a gentle reminder to all to read post 1. Good lights are essential. There is generally plenty of help if needed just put out a shout. In my opinion it is also proper form to be clipped in . Looking forward to this.

• #3293
Not really - a few drags and undulations (reverse or otherwise).

• #3294
On second thoughts would it be possible to borrow a light for the night?! STE5 that would be great if you don't mind. I'll be meeting you all at the start as I live nearby. Is it easy/quick to fit?
-
• #3295
quicker than a kwikfit fitter

But you can't get quicker...

Out. Tuesday night seems to have become mid-life-crisis night.
In a good way.
Hope to make the next one and definitely up for a deluxe. Oh. Yeah.

Very easy and very quick if you have oversized bars.
Oooh, I forgot that we saw an owl swooping along the section of road just before towards Devizes and the infamous milkshake. A barn owl I think.
