I am riding no matter what.
news on the deluxe is 26th Isle of wight all nighter. Leaving london as late as possible to portsmouth for the last ferry. ride around the island back to Ryde for breakfast then ferry and train home. Only question is clockwise or Anti?
-
• #3080
going clockwise dude. will tell you why off radio
-
• #3081
I'm guessing that this is a big reason for riding clockwise:

Me (and my lady bits) are out due to light fail...I should really invest in some decent night riding lights though - what do people recommend to those on a limited budget?
I shall be back when there's another beginner friendly TNRC.

I've had far fewer problems with one of these as others have had with their Hopes.

PS I'm out tonight due to work commitments, someone else from the DD needs to represent as my legs are feeling far better than I expected :)

O/N on the 26th?
Is there still one in August? I booked time off and everything. -
• #3090
Still got lead legs post DD, weather dot com says thunderstorms, and I've got to be up early tomorrow.
I'm still in, but only just.
Is IoW 26th July? Really want to do it, best go beg for some time off. I'm just away to make the boss a cup of tea and get him some of those biscuits he likes.
-
• #3091
I'm out for a few reasons, early finish and a planned afternoon drinking session may be part of it.
Could someone edit me out? On my phone and I will screw up the editing. Ta

Ace! And thank you! I don't have TNRC suitable clothes on me but should be able to get out of work earlyish, get home and back to King's X for 7pm-ish as I can get the train from Finsbury Park to King's X.
Thanks again!
What's the plan then, re: where meeting, getting tix sorted etc etc?
-
• #3094
it might stop at Finsbury Park...
-
• #3095
yeah stops at finsbury park at 19:23
of course then you can't go groupsave... -
• #3096
I'm still dibsing a GS4.
-
• #3097
No probs, glad you can make it. Light is fully charged, which should be fine for tonight, but its probably worth bringing along a back-up 4 pack of AA batteries just in case.
Don't know Kings X well, but we normally just meet somewhere central. People start showing up 30 mins odd before the train and group saves get sorted as people show.

bmmf - I'll probably be there for 7ish so will include you in an early GS buy.

of course then you can't go groupsave...It works out about the same price getting a ticket from Finsbury Park to PB as the cost would be if I got the train and then bought a ticket from zone 1, even if I get some groupsave action. Will see people on the train or at Potters Bar I reckon, if that's cool?

Noted! And thanks for light recommendation Ben.
Woo! Really looking forward to my first proper TNRC...am probably going to be the slowest, but someone has to be, eh? ; )
