I thought the Killing Me Soft Lea ride looked a bit tasty and was planning to join at the last minute if work didn't get in the way, but I thought it might and it did. Lovely evening for it, I'm envious.
Another 48x19, btw ;)

I popped out for my own solo unofficial TNRC this evening. Only 25 miles but two tasty climbs that had me grunting away, and some faster rolling sections. So nice to have no traffic around, and good to have a route in my head despite not having ridden any of it before and not get lost! Here is [ame="http://ridewithgps.com/routes/433049"]my
%22%5Dmy route[/ame]. The only disappointment I have to report is that I didn't see a badger. A deer, but no badger :(I hope you all had a good one out there!

Stunning ride...lovely mix of rolling on country lanes and off road sections. Thanks to Scarlet, Sean and everyone else on the ride

And we heard a lion. Fuck your badgers in their tiny orifices.

White lions to be exact, including this one:
Ticket to ride, white lion highway, tell all your friends they can go my way, etc.

loved that. Thanks to Scarlett and Sean for exemplary riding. Was feeling that a corner had been turned with personal fitness after a hard game of football last night and then spinning well tonight until the inevitable front to back climb at the end when it felt like wading through a swamp with welly boots full of vomit. Great weather, great crew and some awesome dust top. Thanks to Jaygee for the beer. Great to see Claus out there still looking spotless after miles of dust track. Got home had a shower, remembered the roar of the lions and am about to drift off to sleep and the inevitable dreamland. Speaking of which Scarlett, the only time I think I ever woke up and worried about a dream was some 20 years ago when I dreamt I was being chased on a Normandy cliff top by the Werhmacht so I hid in a shed on the cliff tops and found myself hiding amongst some mannequins and then I tried to have sex with one. I woke up very disturbed and haven't really been able to look a mannequin in the eye since (let alone go on a ride with one)

My first wet dream involved me making love to a mannequin whilst a group of children rode in a circle around me on BMXs on the playing field of the local comprehensive. FACT.

(Should I have kept that dream private as well? Doh!)

• #2464
Before I forget, great backstopping by Sean, and general midfielding by Jonny. Fantastic riding by all tonight. Made my job easy :)
-
• #2465
i really don't think I ever had a wet dream. I wet the bed often enough for sure

missed the train :(
hope you had a good (not too windy) night out. -
• #2467
It was pretty sheltered for the most part. Not too many sections heading west (into the wind) tonight.
See you on the next one, maybe. Stick yourself down for train 1, and you should get there in time for train 2 ;)

Kent 2 is all about smashing the Pilgrims' Way. Did you turn around at the top of Exedown and finish the job?

A great crew of 6 rolled out from Otford tonight, all vey well behaved and strong riding from all on a pacey but honest run through those Kentish lanes with blasts of cold air as you hit the dips of the land and out the other side, rabbits and large birds of prey were spotted.
We were doing so well for time we also took in Exedown on the last leg and made it back for a chat and catch up before the 22:3something pulled in.Sam it was a shame you could not make it in the end but Kent done us proud tonight.
Damo and Des keeping the fixed flame alive with style and panache.
Friday backstopping with (Damo and Des) and dancing up a couple of the hills as he could not resist,
Benjam was blasting through the lanes and flying up the inclines,
Jenny was getting to the top of the hills and looking as if she had had a lift, fresh and breathing easy, nicely done.
A real pleasure to ride with the TNRC especially tonight well done you all. -
• #2472
But you let them smear shit everywhere, right? Despite carrying babywipes in your saddlepack.
-
• #2473
Big thanks to everyone on Kent for waiting as I gingerly descended. More so than usual.
Puncture wobbled my head a bit. -

Oh yes Pilgrims was smashed, we turned left at the top of Exedown and joined back up with the Pilgrims way and hit it hard.
