Mercian Ride

I don't see Josh on this thread... therefore you are down on one Mercian king. Someone ping superprecise!

Been looking for a reason to go up. Interested depending on timing (sorry Sumo).

Mercian also built bikes for some other brands sometimes. Tom Crowther and Sid Mottram spring to mind.

Never knew that. Knew that Tom Crowther frames were built by Mercian as Crowther's was my local shop back in Brum. Was a proper old fashioned shop, sadly it's a chippy now. My grandparents had a Crowther frame that they kept for me that was always going to be my first "proper" bike but as it was an old frame of my Gran's who was barely 5ft tall, by the time I had started cycling properly it was way too small for me and I ended up on a cheap Peugot... Would love to know what happened to it.

Anyway back on track, mid week and I'm definitely in for this as long as the ride isn't going to be too epic.

Those that are in/potentially in, if you can add yourself to the list, that would be grand. Mercian have said they can probably take about 20 in to the workshop at a time, but I reckon we'll eclipse that. So I'll try and organise us going in groups.
