I have used both Scherrit and Cyclefit. Slightly different philosophies to the fit (one was for road the other MTB) but both addressed the problems I had, and have massively improved my comfort, performance and endurance.
Like Velocio it was done to avoid causing further damage to myself, and like him I can confirm that a fitted bike is a wonderful thing.

These guys are apparently the only Retul certified fitters in the UK. Based in Milton Keynes, City of Dreams™.

Used to have to work there from time to time. Dreadful place. Never again.

Why are people getting bike fits done? So they can commute to work more efficiently?
Others not all so aerodynamically blessed with natural aerofoils like your good self so will take any advantage given.

Cyclestreet in York offers a simple but effective bike fitting service that gets the basic bike measurements spot on and also offers advice on how to combat any issues of discomfort on the bike - for £15!

Planet-X also uses the RETUL bike fit system, but only available in Sheffield and Bristol.

Kinda related to bike fit. A calculator for your tyre pressures. There is almost certainly a personal taste aspect to tyre pressure. But physics says 15% deformation is full of win.

interesting link. most people over inflate thinking it will make them faster.

If the calculated pressure exceeds your tire’s rated maximum, choose a wider tire. fuuuuu

I was a bit shocked at the difference between front and rear. Looks like I need 85PSI front and 120PSI back on the new roadie. Cant say I'm overly comfortable with the idea of running 120PSI on my carbon clinchers [insert facepalm]

They will go BANG!
Going to pick up a 25mm, which will give me 85PSI-Front, 100PSI-Rear. Its what I wanted anyway (run 20F, 22R on the fixed), just got a good price on a pair of 23's.
Need to check if I need a new inner as well. Damned latex inner addiction.

i would like to add the sidas custom footbeds that are available at sigmasport in kingston and cyclefit.
i had a set made for my sidis yesterday by sigma, i normally use BG footbeds (sigma sell those too) but the sidis are a closer fit, insoles are very rudimentary so offer little in the way of arch support and do not not have room for the thicker BG insole and wedges.
sigma also supply cleat wedges. this will enable me to remove one of the wedges from inside the shoe. fitting takes about an hour as your feet are measured and you have to stand on a flexible pad that takes on your foot shape for the insoles to be formed in, they then have to be heated, molded into shape then cooled and trimmed to fit the shoes.have only ridden home from the shop but initial thoughts are very comfortable with full support of the arch. the BG footbeds are good but these are definately worth the extra.
9/10 for customer service and the product itself. (dropped one point for not offering me a coffee)

How much for the footbeds at sigma
It's £75 at Cyclefit
2nd pair 20% off if done at the same time as the machine is all set up (road shoes and Mtb shoes)

it's the same price.

Was using this today and thought of this thread. Tis a chart that compares shoes size from various cycle shoe manufactures.

I've added a few more online fit things, including a link to beatnik from WW's, fitting. After having a bit of a Friday read through the WW thread, he comes across well, seems to know his stuff, and lots of people seem happy with it. Definitely worth a read.
On-line Fitting services:
BioMechanical Cycling v.8

...and his WW page, with more info is here: http://weightweenies.starbike.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=51071&sid=c66b95baef28bc3a1c8bbc8e319d185b
...Also I'd really appreciate it if anyone has links to useful online tools, they post them, to help build up the free knowledge bank.

I just noticed on on your bike's website that they do bike fitting. Does anyone have any experience with them on that?
http://www.onyourbike.com/fitting.php
The one thing I didn't get was:
Record measurements and final set up
only seems to apply to the deluxe fit...
... so you go and don't get any data?
Not used these guys: http://www.bikelab.co.uk/
Nice site and based in Richmond and Poole, so for London and South-West only...
