-

Feel free to ignore me, but what about if we tramp style it up good - bring some snacks too to share?
-
• #484
I am beyond poor so I am a tramp in pretty much every sense of the word.
-
• #485

It was the Schmidt sting pain index! (the insect bite pain scale) from here
1.0 Sweat bee: Light, ephemeral, almost fruity. A tiny spark has singed a single hair on your arm.
1.2 Fire ant: Sharp, sudden, mildly alarming. Like walking across a shag carpet and reaching for the light switch.
1.8 Bullhorn acacia ant: A rare, piercing, elevated sort of pain. Someone has fired a staple into your cheek.
2.0 Bald-faced hornet: Rich, hearty, slightly crunchy. Similar to getting your hand mashed in a revolving door.
2.0 Yellowjacket: Hot and smoky, almost irreverent. Imagine W. C. Fields extinguishing a cigar on your tongue.
2.x Honey bee and European hornet: Like a matchhead that flips off and burns on your skin.
3.0 Red harvester ant: Bold and unrelenting. Somebody is using a drill to excavate your ingrown toenail.
3.0 Paper wasp: Caustic and burning. Distinctly bitter aftertaste. Like spilling a beaker of hydrochloric acid on a paper cut.
4.0 tarantula hawk: Blinding, fierce, shockingly electric. A running hair drier has been dropped into your bubble bath.
4.0+ Bullet ant: Pure, intense, brilliant pain. Like fire-walking over flaming charcoal with a 3-inch rusty nail in your heel.[3i see your insect sting scale and raise you the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bristol_Stool_Scale

Someone please meet me there before 6?
-
• #490
I should be able to get there just before 6, finish at half 5 - work in Tower Bridge, so not far away.

morning ladies, so pre-coffee and generally a little slow...
is this where?
I should be there by 5.30pm I think.

[sips coffee]
Yeah I've actually got no idea where we're going. Something about a Queen and a beach?
Are we doing tramp beers or just tramp food? Is there somewhere to leave our bikes where we can see them? -
• #493
Having checked out the menu prices, I'm all for tramp food and/or finding somewhere that does burgers/chips and bring them back to the beach.
There are places to lock bikes but not sure they'll be in eye view. The racks are behind the QEH on Belvedere Road, if I remember rightly.
I'll be there before 6pm. Bright pink top, dark blue bottoms, oozing water as my legs refuse to 'pootle'.

• #494
I'm filming in West West London today and have no idea when I'll finish. Hopefully I won't be too late!
-
• #495
Right, I'm still trying to come along, will deffo be late as I've been guilt tripped into meeting the Critical Mass before it leaves but I'll peel off and jump on the fast train. Have got a phone number or two so hopefully I wont get lost and roll up as everyones leaving! I mean you can't leave, I'm the comedy value right!? At least there's no birds in that place...

I'm at London Bridge so I'll recce the area at lunchtime and report back.

Good stuff, would be pref to be able to eyeball our bikes.
Will hopefully be on the rebuilt Pinarello today, first time out since I replaced everything except frame forks, stem and bars.
-
• #499
Oh, and I shall be bringing an honourable friend. Should be there 7-7:30.

We need to meet. I generally provide the comedy value in most social/professional situations!
And wanda - what's this about a refusal to pootle? Pootling is a strong look!
23c apparently - should be delightful! Looking forward to this, should be there by 6.
