    ;)

Also, anyone know what the music was in the los angelopes movie?

  • I liked that too. Actually, no, I'm thinking of the Mexican one. It was in the credits so I guess it will make It's way online eventually...

  • ^^ I meant prosperity, I'm going to sell t-shirts with that quote printed on ;)

Ok, actually I am really hungover and incapable of spelling correctly.

  • The jousting one was wild. The lack of empathy by the couriers during Locomotive was well... bizarre. BMX film was edited and polished so well, looked amazing.
The Spike Jonze joint was hilarious and curated well to be on the couriers bill. The short short "The Line" was great.
Peace to Indonesia, really want to go ride out there now. The film embodied the freedom being on 2 wheels can really give someone in the urban environment.
    The pool was dope.

Fire Bears Works??.....Come now Selecta! WTF, WTF, WTF that film was horrendous, horrible to watch awful awful awful business.

  • Any one going to the Ladies Films this afternoon? Sistas? Or the BMX shows?

Look My No Friends later for bike pub quiz?

  • Geat film at look mum no hands last night! XD

  • I really want to see the women's films but I am refusing to leave the house today. I wish they'd just put some women's stuff in with the rest of it.

Yesterday's shorts were ace, particularly the Spike Jonze and the head exploding Portugese one. And tibbs's was excellent on Friday, as was riding for UDON. I want to make a film! Too lazy though.

  • Yeah! Loved the Udon Run movie...and the way they got stuck into the udon! Mmmm...noodles. Could be my motivation for leaving the house today!

  • What I loved most about that film was the guy would say, "this udon is delicious/tasty" and the translation would read something like "Hot damn, this udon is the bomb baby!"

  • Dope sh*t evening Friday.
Fave films were the Kirin one and bmx Barcelona
Juno was fab. Thanks lfgss n David for the drinks especially the surprise ones.

  • Massive LOLs at the fact that the Jakartan fixeh crew quoted MrSmyth at the start of their film but spelt his name wrong - 'MrSmith'.

I really should go to bed now.

MrSmyth's username used to be MrSmith.

  • Especially the bit where Laura discovered more playing cards in her bag at 1:30, which meant everyone got another beer or 3.

Ha. Your expression at that moment was priceless. Happily we power-drank our way through the beer just in time..I vaguely remember having handfuls and giving them to random people at the end. Which probably explains my sleeping through chunks of the after-after-party.

    Awesome evening.

  • Greetings folks,
Well I thought I should do a little match report on the Sunchasers program on Saturday.
Got up to the Barbican to find Laura and Tibbs sipping coffee in the entrance hall. His film had gone down well the night before (congratulations....!!!) and I think the LFGSS party had gone down rather well too....
I brought along my wife, two Bredrins and a friend and his daughter, we all got in, lights down and then the credits rolled.
The first film – Save the bike lane was a rather slick film with lots of track bikes and not many brakes about the bike lanes of Seoul.
Next up was My crazy life about a BMX rider. It was bit like a red bull advert / pop video following him around the world. Nice young lad and clearly on top of his sport. I was feeling pretty middle aged as I thought how can you let them film your room with mess, washing and cans of drinks all over the place. For me I have to make sure the hoovering, washing up etc is all done, otherwise I cannot concentrate on the ride.
Well next up was Peace and Lovely Tailoring. It seemed to go down well and we got the first round of applause of the afternoon. I could hardly bear to watch, but felt very proud and a little bit terrified.
Next up was Sunchasers, an hour long film about 3 ladies at varying points of their cycling careers coping with their disability, life etc as they built up to the 2008 Beijing Paralympics. It was a nice film, triumph over adversity type thing. I particularly liked Barbara, who’s life was completely changed by a horrific crash as a top able bodied cyclist. Since then she has gradually put her life back on track and is now back on a bike.
So then the credits rolled and we hung on to do a bit of basking in the glory aka having a coffee and chatting stuff. As I headed home with my wife and Bredrin we saw people outside I think getting ready for the messenger race in Silk Street.
Now back at work after a great weekend and dreaming about doing our next film hopefully before next spring. It has been a wonderful time and we thank again those who gave us the chance to do this and have it screened... It has taken my mind off the heavier things I have to deal with in life. My two Bredrins who came had never been to the Barbican before so that is good for them. We also had roots rock reggae blasting out the Barbican, if only for a few minutes, so again that is good for Rasta and for people who have not come across it before.
Big thanks again to everyone who gave us the chance.
Big thanks to the forum for the friendly support.
    Peace and Love,
    Tim

  • What a great festival. Excellent films, parties & people, so glad I got involved.

  • Hey JAH Tim! Any plans to show your film again anywhere? Maybe a double header with Wake Up To the Muff? Would love to see it!

  • LFGSS film night! I know a few people also have films they want to showcase. I'll get on the case.

  • Also, three words for you: Udon. Pyjamas. Ride.

Oh, and four more: I owe you pizza.

  • I was just going to PM you. I need to pass the Pyjama Jam mantle onto you, don't think I have time to organise a good ride. Just make sure you have Ryo on the list, that's probably the dopest noodle spot in London.

You can return pizza next week at the Amalgamation of Champs

  • What happened at the after party last night?? Didnt sound very peace and love..

It wasn't. It was utterly shameful.

Fucksache. I didn't make it down and had heard a rather mangled rumour, but that's BAD :-(

The LFGSS party was truly wonderful, as was the polo tournament!

  • This sort of thing wouldn't have happened if Max was still around!

  • there were 6 amazing days and 1 bad night.

More like a couple of people causing trouble for a few hours one evening. Shame you missed the East London Furniture afterparty. Once everyone had gone there was a pile of leftover beer that we were forced to consume..

Meanwhile, everyone seems to have gone back to my house, got drunk and passed out, so I came home to witness much naked courier spooning love in my living room.

That was an amazing BFF. Thanks everyone..

  • Too many left over beers to consume after everyone had gone! Great night! As was thurs and fri! The quiz on sun was hilarious! Oh and congrats to Spring break!

I had a seriously rad few days, thanks to everyone involved!!
