  • I think Possession is a great horror movie.

Man suspects his wife is having an affair...finds more than he bargained for.

    Way better summary here:

  • Anyone seen the trailer for 'Mother', the new Aronofski film? Look pretty creepy!

  • Thought I’d dredge this. I’ve seen a couple of fun horror movies on Netflix recently. Velvet Buzzsaw was great and so was Apostle. Also enjoyed The Nun and The Ritual

  • I liked The Ritual although it ended badly with a shit monster... I think it adds more suspence if you don't get to see what's killing them, just the odd shadow and movement is always good for me... Ghost Stories is really good if you haven't seen that... I think it's still on Netflix as well.

  • I hope it’s still on uk Netflix I am back tomorrow. I saw the play a few years ago in Hammersmith it was pretty good.

  • Ghost Stories started with promise, went a bit flat and the ending was dumb AF

Last decent creep out I watched was The Witch

  • Ghost Stories worked really well as a play.... difficult to translate as well I think

A little while ago now but...
Heredetry was good until the end where it just went mind bogglingly stupid

The Void ( think it was called that) was excellent

  • Heredetry was good until the end where it just went mind bogglingly stupid

that film reminds me of this meme about running out of budget.

  • Enter the void, is what I think you thinking of.
Mandy, with Nicholas Cage turned up to 11 was a pleasure to watch to a big screen.
Climax, on Netflix now, is great with a good sound system

  • mandy is the film of 2018. it's flawless.

  • I don't know, I enjoyed the ending. Kind of a 60's horror film vibe -- slighly crummy but nice if you're willing to play along.

  • Midsommar isn't scary but it's very good.

  • Blood and Black Lace 1964 - Mario Bava.

  • The Return of the Living Dead is currently on netflix.
    Great 80s Zombie film IMO.

  • Return of the living dead is great, even my girlfriend who normally hates "silly" stuff loved it.

Haven't done much horror of late but some more standout stuff on Netfix includes

Creep - does what it says on the tin
The Wailing - if you can put up with all the wailing
The invitation - more of a thriller but good chills none the less
Under the Shadow - all round good flick imo

  • bored-watched cabin in the woods for the nth time.

    it's so good.

  • You got me watching that now

  • I rewatched it last week. it's brilliant.

  • Ghost stories was great, Paul Whitehouse was an unexpected treat. The play was still better though.

  • I really enjoyed it... not what I thought it was going to be which made it better... good to see a decent British film for a change. Thinking about it, we do make some pretty decent films, but it seems like they come out every 10 years or so
