Clive Barker has written some amazing short stories that have been made into some very shoddy films though, the books of blood are a great series of short stories (hellbound heart appears in one of them) that got made into a god awful film, riffing a couple of the stories and ruining it for everyone.

Anyone can point me in the direction of a torrent for HCII I'd be mucho appreciative.

Thinking it'll be nigh on impossible to get it in the UK but I'm in Sweden just now so might be easier?

Sorry guys (Murtle et al) just seen Stake Land and what a bunch of cock. It was a sort of road movie come coming of age movie come zombie come vampire come undead movie. It was an utter abomination. And sooo American, I had high hopes for something sharp and original, not just because of you guys but all the rave reviews and then seeing it. Pffffffffffttt.

I saw Evil Dead at a press preview last night... Damn it was good. Really nasty unrelenting and surprising horror movie. It's a different film from the first yet it's the same if that makes sense.

Watching Evil Dead (a bit late) after the recommendation upthread. I have pretty high tolerance for gore but... eurghh. Sort of enjoying it, I think. I haven't laughed as much as I did at the original. Or, er, at all.

I watched it a couple months ago and thought it was pretty good but then watched it again a week or so ago and at the end I realised I'd hardly watched any of it and had been playing with my phone instead. I figured that spoke volumes as to how good it actually was(nt).

The director of Martyrs was to do a Hellraiser remake. I actually thought he would be good for it after watching Martyrs without knowing such a thing had been discussed. Damn, it would have been awesome.
