While I struggle to understand why you would want to spend considerably over a grand on a commuter bike; maybe go to giant and ask about their 2015 bikes as they often have big discounts

if you aren't going to go too far off the beaten track, I cannot recommend a giant defy advanced highly enough. 2015 models are cheap too http://www.everndencycles.co.uk/300/products/2015-giant-defy-adv-3-mens-endurance-road-bike-blue.aspx?origin=pla&kwd=¤cy=GBP&gclid=CjwKEAiAmNW2BRDL4KqS3vmqgUESJABiiwDTNZKNh8-p6EZbTRc9w8qpNLn8IxEXM8wp734kxOWnmRoCKdPw_wcB

Howdy y'all.
Has anyone got any recommendations on what pedals to get for my cross bike, which is also my commuter bike and leisure bike. I don't have clipless shoes and I'm not looking to get any so ideally I'd be after a good flat pedal that can take a toe clip variation. I still use toe clips purely for the ease of jumping on and off my bike and being able to use my everyday shoes.
Cheers.

Still after the use of toe clips.

How do the PD-A530 compare to the M424 pedals? Or alternatively PD-M520 with occasional use of something like these adaptors.
I imagine that I'll use the SPDs about 90% of the time on my new cross/commuter/tourer but for 'round town' cycling having the option of flats would be desirable. I was thinking that the M520 pedals + adaptors would probably be the best bet but I'm not sure how shit the adaptors are.

adaptors are proper shit

Oh. I didn't understand your post then!

PD-A530 compare to the M424 pedals?

So has anyone got recommendations for pedals for my cross bike that are NOT clipless pedals and will take a toe clip?

There's a few cyclocross threads on this forum as there seems to be a lot of folk on this forum that enjoy it. Seems like a good place to get an answer.

Would you attach the same pedals to your road bike that you would to your cross bike? Or the same pedals to your track bike?
I have a pro mechanic
