You might need help to sneak the full EPS group past Mrs Smallfurry.

In attempting to solve Dammit's cross/disc/bb30 frameset conundrum I've sadly come up short.
^ Massively expensive!
^ Great cross heritage. Probably damned expensive & no doubt unavailable in the UK ( like a lot of good frames )
^ It's a pretty colour & it's a Look :-) Not sure about the shape though? Price = I dread to think. Availability = ?
^ & something gaudy looking for Smallfurry ;-)

It would appear your credit card is safe for now Dammit.

bevato looks like on one dirty disco

So it does. Very distinctive chainstay shape. I think I failed to see past the colour scheme.

good price for pro6 f&f and discs > http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Kenesis-Pro6-Disc-Frame-54cm-Cyclocross-Frame-/200842861136?pt=UK_Bikes_GL&hash=item2ec32ada50

The Bevato would look sweet with gold bar tape. Its also the only one with post mounts.
But is chainstay routing normal for rear calipers on CX bikes?
Its a better caliper placement, although it could limit disc size. I just wonder about the routing. -

Mine is under the chain stay.

Frame / Fork new is £450ish IIRC.

Does Kinesis make frames for other bike brands, or is that just "something that I read somewhere on the internet"?
-
• #2020
I'd imagine the parent company Kinesis Taiwan does.

Just sold the CX9. Sad to see it go as it really flew and was light once the commuting crap was removed.
Strangely as I have been using the Ultegra grouppo'd Ribble this week I found the TRP EuroX brakes only just less powerful in the wet, although the dry was different as the Ultegra 6700 brakes are really powerful, I've stood the bike on its' nose a couple of times.
At the end I had no squeal, judder and associated cantilever problems. They really were good once set up.£650.00 towards a new bike with discs sub £1000.00 and a week to go before I am in Flanders.
So far the choice is:
Focus Mares AX 4 Disc. £750.00-£899.99, Tiagra gears. Same frame as the AX 2, different forks but has mudguards and rack eyes etc, just looks bland.
Merida Cyclocross 4 Disc. £850.00 - £999.99. Average £899.99 105 gears
Boardman CX, £949.99 (£854.99 with -10%) Apex gearsWhat I really want though is below, but I doubt I can justify it.
Ridley X-Ride 1203A Disc £1200.00-£1400.00, Ultegra or 105, depends where you look as spec seems to vary
Cannondale CAADX Cx disc £1500.00So what's the best sub £1000.00 bike again (haha)
But I'm waiting to see what they are in Belgium before choosing. -

Someone would have to pay me to use Tektro discs. And no warranty on the frame & fork. It's ok, not bargainous in the slightest though.

interested SS cross build with Hope V Twins here http://forums.roadbikereview.com/cyclocross/cyclocross-specific-chinese-carbon-287854.html
If only it had track ends!
My ideal build would be Steel frame with track ends and disc mounts with full carbon fork with disc mount (If on budget then Kinesis if not Enve or 3T), hope V twin brakes and ZTR Iron Cross on Phil 130mm MTB hub wheelset!
I like that. How much of a twat would I be, if I took something similar, and built it up with road tyres and raceblade mudguards?
