  • Any suggesting for nice OTPs or frames available in monster sizes? Ally or Carbon....
Rose bikes are winning so far!

  • Focus do up to 62cm.

Probs not big enough for you Jammy.

  • I've been looking mainly at HT and TT lengths. The cheap kinesis is availble 63CtT with a 59 TT and 20 HT. Main thing that worries me is the short TT but a 130 stem and some long reach bars could sort it I think.

  • I think some of the Kona Jakes went up to 63cm St, with a 615mm TT?

  • ^ Appears to vary, dependant on model & year though. The major was available in man-size due to Ryan Trebon.

  • I swapped out the FSA Gossamer cranks on the CAADX to some rather nice Specialized S-Works BB30 cranks. Still running the FSA rings though - tempted by some TA replacements.

  • Anyone going to be actually racing their cross bikes?

Nice local league, perfect for first time racers, 3 more races left.

  • Yes - raced at bethlem on Wed and will be at HH next week. Was impressed by the Bethlem curcuit.

  • Is it worth bringing lights this Wednesday? Last week it was getting very dark on the last two laps at bethlem.

  • Yes. If only for the ride home.

Going to try and get to this one. Depends on work. Means commuting in my skin suit.

  • I was going to bring my Hope vision. But if it starts on time hopefully it won't be needed.

  • HH gets quite dark in the wooded section. It's pitch black at some races.

  • Ah missed that, will come race on wednesday.
    Howard, still got my tyres?

  • They're my tires now!

  • boo :( sorry, should have bugged you before about them.

  • I've just bought a Boardman in haste... hopefully I shall be there wednesday evening.

Should I change the default tyres on the bike or anyfink?

    Check the cabling.

  • The tires are Ritchey, right?

Might be worth swapping them for some Maxxis or Michellins.

  • Use the pre-season races to determine if you like th tyres, then buy mud2 for the proper season.

  • I will use some rocket rons as HH needs a bigger air chamber to deal with all the ruts and builders rubble.

  • I'm going to be in Glasgow on the fifth, so unfortunately will miss HH.

I'll be on clinchers again, not sure which, possibly a conti speed cross on the front and a maxxis raze on the back.

I'm never going to use my tubs, am I? Can't ride em down, don't want the inconvenience of hiring a car and driving it all down, not sure I want to strap them to my back either. Hmmf.

  • HTFU, Howard and carry them on your back.

  • But, I only use tubs at HH when it's a bit wetter, as all that rubble Ramaye mentions doesn't do tubs much good when it's bone dry.

  • Can you not buy unwired ones and wrap them up under your seat
