I have to agree, but it's better than nothing :-(
Yeah, I'd only be interested in 23.

Thanks - I had not heard of that place.
Unfortunately, being wookie-sized means that proper size charts are rather critical for me.
After a few months with my IH-634s, I'm not sure I could go back to a lighter denim tbh. Although I did pick up a pair of IH-666s when I was NY recently - 'only' 19oz but feel heavier as they're raw and quite stiff.

Hmmmm, I've always wondered but never asked, don't your legs get disgracefully hot in denim that heavy?
-
• #706
The 634s I don't think are worse than any other pair of jeans due to the fact that the 23oz denim is really quite breathable. I think the 666s will be less comfortable both because of the slimmer fit and more rigid denim but I haven't had them long enough to know for sure.

Oh okay, is the weave less tight? I remember burning up in a pair of Edwin Waynesvilles in the summer once and they were only 14oz!?
-
• #708
Yeah exactly. It's hard to convey just how soft yet heavy the fabric is.

Picked up some selvage jeans in uniqlo for 30 quid on sale the other day. They had a whole rack of random jeans on sale and there was one pair of these...
Made in Japan etc etc, they seem very sturdy. -

yeah thems Uniqlo jap denim are good for the money - still have a pair - don't wash them!!
-
• #713
No don't ever wash, start collecting plastic bags and wearing a fur coat in summer
-
• #714
Ha! Yeh, I never wash denim unless its a shitty pair of carharrts that smell like a bonfire or something.
They're very nice apart from the backs of the knees pinching when I'm cycling which is a very perculiar feeling. Might turn into a fetish actually.

Oooh, just looked at their jeans... Must. Resist. Moar. Denim.
Pike Brothers make great jeans, I know that for a start.
There is a shop in Upper Norwood (the name escapes me) who are the only UK based stockist so you can always try them on there.
Size chart ;-)
