I was window shopping outside that place the other day! I think it was redwing boots which had my attention at that moment.
It's an easy walk from work so that looks like a plan...

For the sizing doubt, you can go to Son of a stag, in Brick Lane, try it and then buy it on the internet. Fucking the system is never wrong.

So I've soaked a pair of unwashed jeans in a hot bath for 20mins. Dripped dried. Patted dry.
Now I've put them on.
I was expecting them to have shrunk more and be tight to get on.
Should they have gone in hotter water? For longer? Both?

Since you've started conservatively there's lots of wiggle room, as it were.
Washing in a machine, throwing in a dryer et cetera. -

Cheers.
I think I'll just wear for a bit longer and then have another bash at some point down the line.

I was in Glasgow today and still hadn't got round to buying jeans so went into Fat Buddha Store on St Vincent Street.
I must have tried on nearly every pair of Edwins they had on the shop, and they did have a pretty comprehensive selection. The guys in that shop were both knowledgeable and helpful; I recommend, if you find yourself in that part of the world.
Anyhow, eventually left with a pair of Nashville Red 32R. Also liked the ED-39 but need them in the long leg. Mebbe get them for my next pair.
So far so good and recs to the good people of Glasgow.

Long shot...but Im over in Japan at late notice at the mo, and wouldn't mind sorting a nice pair of jeans out...Apparently there's a 'big 5' in Osaka, tho any other must-sees or tips/links that would make a denim noob give himself the idea he has a clue what he's talking about?

Mind you, when I was at my denim-nerdiest I really wanted a pair of Warehouse... Mate brought a pair back from Japan in the late 90s, they were beautiful...

Straight or tapered?
Previously I have been inclined to tapered jeans and trousers in general, due to ankles being skinnier than thighs. However, Nashvilles are straight so I gotta get used to excess fabric round my shoes.
Tapered cuts all seems to be for some weird humans whose thighs are same circumference as knees. Do such things exist?
i got some edwin nashville's last week.
£150 from american classics on endell street, covent garden.
i'm normally 32-34 depending on brand but got these in 31x34 and i'm really happy with them.
