  • I've got some grey Gustins on the way, excite.

In other news, the black Edwin Blitz jeans (32x32) I bought off tilover are on Ebay now. I paid £75 but couldn't get them to fit or sell them on this thread, reserve is a lot lower than what I paid so let me know if you're interested.

  • So, this guy made his own jeans.

Came out pretty good. Kind of surprised no one here has tried this yet.

Pretty impressive for a first go with a domestic machine. I've been pondering it, my sister has an industrial sewing machine so got no excuse really...

  • nice effort on the home made strides.
TK Brixton max helps me again, wanted a pair of knock about jeans found a pair £18 light weight selvedge, nice relaxed fit and easy wearing.

  • What brand are they? I missed them.

  • just Bench ones 36 x34 in the clearance section found them by chance as they were tucked in between some jackets

  • Well just backed another pair of Gustins. The custom slates ... look awesome for a dark grey pair of jeans!

  • Got my Gustins last night, they're super tight but I'm going to just spend a day in them and stretch them out at some point.

My Edwin jeans on Ebay, someone has just asked me if they will shrink. Will they? I assumed they would probably stretch as you wear them rather than shrinking.

  • Edwins are pretty tough. I'd say they will stay pretty true.

  • I've been wearing my edwin e55's for a while and I'm pretty pleased with them, getting some sick fades brah. Yesterday I tried on some old nudie's, they feel like leggins in comparison and didn't last 6 months without having to be patched, they feel so cheap for a relatively expensive pair of jeans.

    tldr; buy quality, buy once.

  • Stumbled upon Rivet and Hide just off Tottenham Court Road on Windmill St yesterday. Yes.

  • Might take a look

    Might not

  • Don't need any more denim but will deffo pop in for a look... I need to unpick my APCs and get them re-hemmed before I dye them black... My local dry cleaner did a shocking job on 'em... :$

    Those prices though...

How many pairs is that now?

  • So I have

    • Super lights (wearing through them)
    • Grey Silks ( gave to my brother, ordered 1 size too small )
    • Black2 ( love these )

    Ordered but cancelled

    • Rainbow Nep ( failed QC)
    • Cone Black ( cancelled as I discovered size problems with Grey Silk )

    On order:

    • Cone Custom - Slate

I'm still annoyed about the grey silk, size 33 was a MASSIVE difference to size 34 :S

  • I'm gonna cut some Gustin Rainbow Neps in to shorts I reckon.

Balham TKM doesn't seem to have the same treasures as Brixton, although I don't visit that often. The place depresses me.

    It's a skill.
    You stick to the h20->>>>>>whine

    ;-D

  • I want to get sown buttons taken out and replaced with sturdy riveted jobbies. Can anyone recommend somewhere?

  • Lessons from my Gustin jeans:

-33 in Gustin jeans is optimistic
-Slim fit in Gustin jeans is optimistic - ability take things in and out of pockets would be handy
-Very nicely made, hence me trying to force them to fit today.

  • Sounds scary. Got slim coming after the regulars were just too wide in the lower leg. Need to contract serious case of dysentery.

  • Lower leg on the slim fit still isn't that slim. Upper leg...well I had nearly reached the next stop on the bus by the time I'd managed to get my wallet out of my pocket. I think if the waist size was right they might be alright though.

  • Pockets have always been too shallow. Thankfully the denim is always very decent.

  • Is it going to soften at all? The rear pockets seem to be trying to skin the backs of my hands when I put my hands in them.

  • Also, it doesn't look like my Edwin jeans are going to reach the reserve on Ebay. I will probably just put them on and do star jumps till they loosen off on my thighs as well.

My 33s work nicely, pretty happy with the fit.
