He's emailed me a few times as well. Seems a nice chap. Hopefully the jeans are too.

Anyone tried the free denim repair service for Nudie jeans in Soho?
-
• #1154
Free? Really? I needz

Was chatting to the guy at Son of a Stag on Saturday, apparently they're going to be stocking Samurai jeans in a few months time - pretty sure there isn't anyone in the UK carrying them at the moment.

What, any jeans or just Nudie?

fuck you Gustins... 18 oz now and I really like the look of their gray version.

Grr I already have 7 pairs of jeans, can't really justify another 2
-
• #1159
Why not? I have twenty-two pairs of two-tone shoes but that doesn't ever stop me from acquiring another pair.
-
• #1160
Anyone got their Gustins yet and can report back on quality / fit?
-
• #1161
Mine ship in August. Kirth, I think you have a pair already, no?
I got the ones I ordered from Williamsburg but I managed to screw up and order the wrong pair with the wrong fit. They do look really well made though and am just waiting to hear back on the return/exchange process.

Mine are supposed to be here shortly. I think my RPMWests will arrive first though.

Long shot, as they've probably stopped the promo by now, but has anyone else got an invite? This one seems to have expired.
btw if anyone else is thinking about trying Gustins, this link gives $20 off

• #1164
You should have it, you're attached to my account
-
• #1165
Ah yeah, I could only see it when I went to checkout. Thanks!

So my Gustins should be here next week. Just got the shipping conf ...
Can't wait :)

So they turned up today. Man they are really lightweight! Slight problem si they are fucking LONG. Three roll up is a little too much, might have to get them re-hemmed somewhere
-

Yup, gonna have to head over to Self Edge in the Mission, have them chainstitched to a around 34" rather than 36". They are lovely though, perfect weight, fantastic colour and nice grain. Also I like the small touch like the red stitching inside the rear pockets
-
• #1169
Hmm well dropped them in, but a 2 week waiting list :S
-
• #1170
Glad to hear they're long. I like a turn up and usually 34" just get to the end of my leg. Which denim/style did you go for kirth?

So, 36" long is becuase I ordered 34" waist. 33" and less is 34" long.
These are the 9oz ultralights. They are really nice, and can't wait to get them. Perfect for the 20->25c weather SF has. Tempted now with the Slate pair

Jeans are back! Self Edge here in SF did a great job on the chain stitching (although $25 seems a little steep). They fit great now, and I'm really debating ordering another pair.

Hmm seems to be a bit of a selvedge denim war going on over here in the US.
Flint & Tinder have just announced they are doing 15oz Cone White Owl Selvedge jeans. The fabric is from North Carolina. $89 a pair.
Failure though they don't say what the inseam is (I'm assuming 36" though). Not sure I'll bother with them though. decisions decisions
Not that this means the jeans are any good however, I emailed RPM West about 5 minutes ago about their website. Basically password's are not * when typing them in, then it sticks them unencrypted in the URL :S.
Manuel replied after about a minute. They are fixing it. Lord knows what the jeans are like, but hey, you can at least talk to the owner quickly :)
